A manager who wanted more responsibility cant now be overworked, especially when other options could have been put in place. Bear in mind from the moment Mitchell came in and imploded things with his first speech there has always been a mouthpiece in Eddie, sometimes doing an interview we wouldnt expect like with the BBC and increasing the burden. PIF wouldnt allow embarrassment of being seen not to be the best and being out of control. We have absolutely no right to know anything about the stadium / training ground etc. People dont demand apple release regular statements on the progress of new products etc, footballs a business, its all good 100% disagree

I think its what you want from your club and a personal preference, personally I hate clubs or business who make statements. Bunk Moreland
From the BBC article about Brighton rejecting the bids: "The Blues see Pedro as a replacement for versatile forward Christopher Nkunku, who is expected to leave Stamford Bridge despite his current involvement in the Club World Cup." Such lofty aspirations they have for him.
ExiledGeordie
Chelsea will say here’s £££££££ Pedro. He’ll opt for the wage packet and London. Stand to be proved wrong but target please…..

LFEE
1 hour ago, Ben said: Communication is shite though, when Howe is not at the club it's like radio silence, At the bare minimum Mitchell should have sent out a business as usual message Problem with the club communicating to the fans is they read what they want into it and your left off with a more toxic situation. Only got to look at Mitchell… Eales and Miller speaking out and fans have span things 180. We just need to sign some players and announce them. Nucasol
They’re an absolute ghoul of a club, with loads of expectant customers not fans. People have bleated about what a Saudi backed NUFC would do, but what about these wankers? - Puppy mill conveyor belt of youth team products - A multi club ownership model despised by the leeched clubs they pick apart at will - 10-15+ players signed and loaned out year after year to make a token appearance or two. Wouldn’t surprise me if Kenedy was still on their books. - Financial mismanagement and then defrauding the rules in plain sight - Off the books payments by Abramovich that they’ve never been punished for Chuck in the racist fans and you’ve got the ultimate heel Scum Club. Shame we just fucked one off to Forest, and I reckon we've already hoovered up the rest.

Businesses don’t run up these type of losses with no scrutiny nor questions. They aren’t valued at more than ten times their annual income. Football clubs are community assets, ultimately, and fans aren’t customers.
John P
I think he'd be a really good signing for us, but if he doesn't want to come, fuck him and move onto the next player on the list
gdm
Wasn’t arsed about signing him before we signed Isak and I’m not that arsed about him now.
John P
I don't think he's of the level of someone like Bruno or Isak who will lift the team to another level in their position. I think he's very good, but he's not the sort of signing that would be devastating to miss out on. This is also assuming that we have a list of similarly good players we can move onto if he doesn't sign

We have already said we only have a small pool of players we are going from, that list keeps getting smaller and we know that they won’t panic and buy someone that they don’t fully believe in

Crimson Cardigan
I guess we’ll see but the cynic in me says he’ll be happy to sit on the bench for Chelsea playing the odd minute here or there in Exchange for ludicrous wages and the opportunity to join the rest of the soulless mercenaries that make up their squad. janpawel
Say we don't get Pedro, what other similar players are there out there? If we got him, I'd see him being used as the LCM role often with Bruno closer to Tonali. As well as him covering St etc etc Cunha we have missed, people mentioning Simmons but can't say I've seen him

A Pedro type gives us loads more options and flexibility.
