I think its what you want from your club and a personal preference, personally I hate clubs or business who make statements. Tell me when something official happens, otherwise just get on with it

That's fair, I just think when supporters put so much time effort and money into the club, communication is a minimum expectation.

They’re an absolute ghoul of a club, with loads of expectant customers not fans. People have bleated about what a Saudi backed NUFC would do, but what about these wankers?
 

- Puppy mill conveyor belt of youth team products

- A multi club ownership model despised by the leeched clubs they pick apart at will

- 10-15+ players signed and loaned out year after year to make a token appearance or two. Wouldn’t surprise me if Kenedy was still on their books.

- Financial mismanagement and then defrauding the rules in plain sight

- Off the books payments by Abramovich that they’ve never been punished for

As much as the pundits want to reiterate the message that ‘football is a business’ to stop fans asking questions - it isn’t.  Businesses don’t run up these type of losses with no scrutiny nor questions.   They aren’t valued at more than ten times their annual income.

 

Football clubs are community assets, ultimately, and fans aren’t customers.

I don't think he's of the level of someone like Bruno or Isak who will lift the team to another level in their position. I think he's very good, but he's not the sort of signing that would be devastating to miss out on. This is also assuming that we have a list of similarly good players we can move onto if he doesn't sign

Get what you’re saying but he’s obviously important to Howe and that means more. We have already said we only have a small pool of players we are going from, that list keeps getting smaller and we know that they won’t panic and buy someone that they don’t fully believe in

If we got him, I'd see him being used as the LCM role often with Bruno closer to Tonali. As well as him covering St etc etc 

 

Cunha we have missed, people mentioning Simmons but can't say I've seen him

If we got him it means a change of pattern to what we currently use and more options.

If we're spending 60m I'd rather we bought a top notch LCM rather than trying to convert a CF to play there - and I do think that a Joelinton upgrade would make a hell of a difference; there is a reason that our ball retention isn't exactly spectacular

Is that looking from upgrading personnel or upgrading the system ? A Pedro type gives us loads more options and flexibility.
