I'm not saying that stops us bending the rules in the same way, but PIF do seem pretty determined to play strictly by the rulebook.

PSR is about running a sustainable operation but its actual function is really to benefit already rich clubs who has no restrictions prior to; it’s financial restrictions do not increase with inflation while everything else in football does - and cute little loopholes make the whole thing a joke.

We tried for Delap first as an alternative striker to Isak, that could at times play with Isak upfront also.

Your opinion is based on assumptions not fact. Your suggesting we do something based on others, where as we might have a set of different circumstances. 

1.  Chelsea’s womens team have won the wsl the past 5 years.

2. Villa finished 6th in the wsl, and have been in the wsl since 20/21.

3. We finished 5th in the Championship, and have been in that league for 1 season only. 

 

Is it worth it selling the womens team at the moment when its value is low? 

Is it not more prudent to wait amd see how much villa have sold theirs? Or untill we in the WSL?

Its such a shame Chelsea got CL as they would have dropped away eventually and people would have stopped joining them.  At some point they are going to run into issues as what they are doing is not sustainable adn there are only so many things they can sell.

Yes. Yes it does. And I dont hate them per say, but I hate their attitude towards life being about capital. Cost of everything and value of nothing. 

 

Football is a for people and their clubs. It's not for yuppies with a coke habit.

Think Delap was value and opportunity led.  Similar to Tino, Pope, Trippier, Barnes and others. Probably Trafford too.  Hall too - he fit the position but was probably not ideal age wise for the circumstances but it was then or never. So we did it.

I agree with this fully tbh.  But I’m cheering our team on and hoping we can get even better - a team backed by mega tories and a state. It’s super ugly. 
 

Personally if I hated it enough - I would walk away from the club. The game has absolutely gone.

It’s in the rules that we can buy non footballing assets - doesn’t impact PSR - and then sell it.  Does impact PSR positively.  
 

Car parks, hotels, absolutely anything. We can sell it. We can even buy it - to sell it.

Youre talking about one particular asset. A bit of imagination would lead you to other alternatives.
