Alexander Isak: has a chance to play against Everton (Howe)

The goal had a lush rhythm to it. Could watch it on loop forever.

Didn't expect anything to come of it when Tino wellied what seemed like a wild cross with his left foot (the one he's been so reluctant to use lately) and almost fell over in the process. Then Murphy, who rarely heads the ball, outjumps Robertson and Isak pounces.  Magic.

Without bias... I don't think Liverpool can actually afford him.

Similar to other summers there will be a lot of noise and then another club will come in and buy their targets.

They don't buy the finished articles, they buy those just below.

Feel like no-one could afford him. Unless Real Madrid fiddle FFP again.

there’s one thing our owners aren’t, and that is daft. they know keeping hold of Isak is worth more than goals to the “project”. genuine world class players bring worldwide media attention. Isak’s peak is still forming. break the bank for him

Said it before, it's not just the fee.

20% signing on fee and £400k a week (of you're breaking records on fees you've got to pay the wages). That's £50m cash on the first year after whatever transfer fee installment there is and a £50m hit to PSR every year for one player.

Then you've already got a rebuild at Liverpool and Arsenal being linked with midfielders which takes any English club out.

Barcelona will sign Salah, Madrid don't need him this summer and Isak doesn't seem the type to play in the French league.

Next summer is the first dangerous one if he doesn't get a new deal. But i see a massive Isak number 9 campaign from Adidas in the summer for the new shirt which will pay a big chunk of the deal he will sign

Can't stop watching the second goal. The way he peels away from VVD and anticipates correctly where Murph's nod-down will end up is just sensational.

Post shearer, Remy was the best we’ve had imo but isak is another level to him. People can point to stats for Haaland and that’s fine, but you also have to contextualize the teams they are in. Isak imo is the better player and can actually score outside the box

New contract offer supposedly in 200-240k p/w range.

Read today that he's Yasir's favourite player and there's no way he's letting him go. So not that surprised to read this today.

Aye that's totally what happened, this is exactly how PL players communicate with opponents after games.[emoji38]

If he said this it's because he wants him on toast again

Him trolling VVD like that would actually be a more realistic scenario, like way more.

He didnt need to anticipate anything, to give Murphy his dues. Murphy knew he'd pull back because he knows that's how good Isak is, and nodded a perfect header back and down for him. It was a fantastic assist.

I have seen a video where it sounds / looks like Van Disney says 'see you in pre season' or something like that to Isak
