Wolfcastle
Sell for more to whomever would piss off Liverpool the most next summer. Real or City.

This response, within 18 hours of our bid, clearly a low-ball effort and deliberately leaked to unsettle our player, was basically a "know your place" from them, wankers. It absolutely is - and this all boils down to whether Isak pushes for it or not. If Isak wants to go, then our hand is weakened significantly

Had we not, Liverpool could have leisurely prodded around at Isak for the rest of the window and then moved for Ekitike if they hadn't managed to disrupt him over a couple of months, towards the end of the window, and potentially pushed the price down if no other competition had come through. Completely agree - though if this is a move Isak wants, we’re likely to get it resolved as early in the window as possible so we can move on our targets. Selling Isak at the end of August does us nee good. I still think he stays this season and heads off to a PSG or Real next summer.

Geordie Magpie
It's going to be a long summer! Least we know we have the ability to break our transfer record if we want to. Keeping Isak is the priority but God knows who we move onto next if we miss out on ekitike - the drop off to DCL 😮
Displayname
Just dont see him leaving after we signed Elanga. But if he does, it will be a massive fee that will make us forget about PSR for a couple of seasons. No way we are selling for anything below £150m, no matter if Isak pushes for it or not. midds
This was always going to happen at some point tbh, expected it next summer rather than this one but whatever. We've got one of the best CFs in the sport at our club and it's inevitable that they're going to test the water sooner or later, it comes with the territory, others will want him too, not just those scouse cunts. We just need to be really clear and firm that Isak goes when, where and for a price we're satisfied with. We've got the player so they need to make the running, we need to control things and not panic. I'd also be tempted to cave a bit on Ekitike and raise the bid to get him asap. Could be that Ekitike is just waiting to see what develops - which is fine, don't blame him, but we either wrap this up and play with 2 of the best CFs in Europe or move on and if Liverpool want Ekitike then they need to show their hand soon. If he goes there then fair play, we still own the player they actually wanted. No need to panic, we have Isak and we have about £75m to spend on another top class attacker, nothing to flap about
SUPERTOON
They have obviously been given encouragement from Isak, if they are bidding.
GallowgatePigeon
'Braced for a bid of 130m' Wtf does that even mean, and how would anyone know the figure so far ahead of them submitting it?
