Given that our camp seem to be saying we want Ekitike & Isak, I'm guessing we'd try to sign another striker still if Isak left & Ekitike arrived?

Which is why that move would make no sense to me. Another striker when they are the most risky things to get right and we already have one of the best in the business?

I always had a horrible feeling he'd end up at those cunts, but thought he'd be here for this season at least!

This reminds of the despair I felt when Waddle, Beardsley and Gazza were taken from us in the 80's.....although then it was a lack of money and ambition that costs us.....we have both in spades but can't actually do anything because of the way these clubs make up the rules to protect themselves.

It's an absolute fucking pisstake.

Who one big injury to would totally fuck us. It makes absolute sense to me and thankfully the management agree

Yeah I thought being owned by PIF would put to bed our best players getting picked off by ‘bigger’ clubs. If PIF sell Isak they can get in the bin.

This.

I don’t think we’ll sell to a domestic rival.

I also believe we’ll want a significant fee upfront, which Liverpool won’t want to pay.

I'm chilled with it. If he goes, I think it'd be more like Cole leaving and Ferdinand coming in, with 2-3 other quality players as well (Scalvini? Gallagher?)

Remember the reports that some of the PL clubs executives gave Yasir the cold shoulder when he went to the first meeting. Pretty sure liverpool's must've been amongst them so no chance he sanctions a sale to them cunts. Hope he's raging right now thinking about ways we can stop playing nice when it comes to PSR

A PIF company is about to sponsor Spurs’s stadium, and they were apparently the worst of them.  I don’t think YAR gives two shites

What I meant was, you don't sell Isak and gamble on getting a replacement in the same window as well as Ekitike. You get Ekitike first rather than bringing in two new strikers.

Probably didn't phrase that right, we do need two strikers who could be first choice and Isak is not one I'd lose. Well, given the choice.

Only concern about this is we go for long-term targets we’re absolutely sure about and there may not be anyone else we think is worth that. I hope there is like.

Well whatever they are paying topspur will be less than FMV for us given our appeal in SA?

I'm not blaming them if he goes. There is only so much they can do within the current rules, and Liverpool are above us in the football food chain.....ad much as it hurts to say.

No club is immune. Apart from maybe Barca and Real

They’ll always be above us if we bend over and sell them our best player. Time to grow some balls.

Noticed their fans on Reddit saying we'll have to sell, or they'll just take Ekitike and we'll be shafted by PSR.

Not sure that makes any logical sense, as presumably we'll only run the risk of being shafted by PSR if we don't sell Isak and sign Ekitike on top.

I’m fairly open minded about global fanbases and for me I’ve been welcomed by Geordies and everyone is welcome at Newcastle but it’s fuckin annoying all these Liverpool faceless accounts giving it “we’ll take Isak” or “let us cook” are all wee fannies that have never stepped foot inside Liverpool never mind anfield

entitled glory hunting cunts

sorry

Unfortunately, if the player wants the move, and he probably will do, there's only so much we can do.
