Ikon
Who’s been the most expensive signing to the Saudi league so far? Transfer fee wise. Neymar? Or was he on a free?

TheInfiniteOdyssey
The Premier League would never allow us to make a transfer on that scale to Saudi.

NSG
If you inflate Coutinho’s transfer in 2018 by 8.5% per annum, which is the average premier league transfer market uplift, it values that transfer at £250m in 2025 terms. Pretty sure we could argue the toss at that value tbh.

gdm
You know I’d almost be alright with selling Isak to Saudi for £200m+ he doesn’t play v us for any cunts, that £200m+ sets up for years and by god all the cartel clubs would be fuming. it’s not happening tho. Absolute nothing story
The Prophet
Probably a nothing story, at worst it's his agent trying to press us on the new contract.

Plus why would you want to sell him? Do you have a source for that UEFA treatment (zero profit) or is this just per @slbsn on twitter? I am not saying it's incorrect but the accountant in me suggests that it would be impossible to put a restriction on two willing parties, related or not, to conduct an ordinary business transaction that could be justified as taking place at arms length (i.e. fair market value). SAK
2 minutes ago, The Prophet said: Its £100 million more than the world record transfer fee Fair enough but that was 8 years ago. Prices inevitably rise, average players go for £30-40m now where a decade back that would have got you an elite player. I’d argue the pool of superstar players now is smaller than back then (Messi, Neymar, CRonaldo, Suarez, Muller amongst others and Issk is a superstar player in my opinion (all the talk from rivals supports that).
