You think? Not so sure myself. Just cos Liverpool offered 120m doesnt mean eufa will agree with that kind of value.

I think thats a reasonable assumption tbf. Not sure Liverpool have offered anything though

Liverpool fans advocating playing funny buggars with a contract to get a player? Well slap my arse and call me Trent, I never thought they'd stoop so low.

Every single thing they moan and get santcimonious about they'd do to someone else in a heartbeat, fully justify it and be shitheads about it to boot.

I think we're much more likely to have an issue with the PL disputing  it than UEFA.

Why? Did they dispute Grealish to City? VVD to Liverpool etc etc? It’s hardly an inflated figure given they paid £80M for a kid with 1 year of first team football outside of the PL, I’d argue it’s on the lower side of what we "might" accept

Anyone's guess I suppose, Bayern must be looking at replacing Kane etc

I just hope he fucks off abroad

Would take a part-exchange deal to facilitate that.

*going abroad (not Bayern/Kane)

Those transfers aren't related party transactions so it's irrelevant?

My take is we now absolutely need to sell Isak. He’s pretty much chucked it and effectively refused to go on the tour.
it’ll be absolutely horrific to see him at Liverpool but I think that’s exactly he ends up. We have to make sure it’s for the right fee.
It’ll be a game changer for our psr issues but who the hell sorts the incomings as it’s been horrific so far.

It probably won’t be.

They weren’t associated party transactions.

They reportedly did dispute the initial fee for ASM.

I've just seen the Saudi news on the Guardian. What in the actual fuck. So they've now decided to directly undermine us rather than help our rivals. We won't even be able to use any transfer fee against European squad cost ffs. Wouldn't then be surprised they sold him to one of the breakaway clubs for £50m next season.

If we have to sell, and not keep an unsettled player, doesn't it make sense to a PIF owned Saudi team and not to Liverpool.

I don't get why people would be outraged about this.

Would rather he go over there and loan him back in a year.  In my eyes they would be doing us a favour, inflated fee (although there are some rules about that) and not to Liverpool.

Will it not? Is that due to the way they might structure it?

Well by your attitude that we must tell him, they probably will reduce their offer. But lets says they pay 120m. Well, we immediately take 30m off from his book value. Then we also apparently owe Socided for a sell on clause. Not sure how much, but lets says 20m. So we're down to 70m. Sesko will cost around that. So we've got a worse player and are no better off.

Isak won't go to Saudi, I think he'd rather stay with us and sign an improved deal and leave next summer.

Ben Jacobs (Aye I know) did say that a Saudi might make a bid just for show knowing they aren't going to sign him.

I'm opposite noo.  Don't let him dictate, 3 years left on a contract man... It's not ideal but at this point in the window it's shit for the club.

Cant see us allowing him to go on a cut price deal. I didnt know about the sell on deal 🙄 but your point stands I guess. Won’t be as much left as I thought.

I get that but do we think he’ll have the right attitude for it?

Players have kicked off to force moves, didn't get the move, then had greta seasons. Didn't Suarez try to take Liverpool to court to force his move to Arsenal? Then he went on to have what what was, in my opinion, one of the best seasons any player has had in premier League history. I think Kane kicked off to try and force a move to Man City then scored 30 goals for Tottenham when it didn't happen. We need to follow their example. Refuse the move get one more great season then sell him abroad.

Is there any slim chance he might actually stay? Clutching at straws I know. Will be devastated if he goes to Liverpool, they take everything good from us.

Maybe, but it's worst case scenario imo.

Get that forehead out of my club.

At this point I'm not arsed and I think a shit attitude would make him look worse to other clubs.

If I thought we could get 2 adequate strikers in by the end of the window I would be fine... I just don't see it.  It's also possible we don't show weakness (as a club), keep him this summer and he tries to impress.

I dunno tbh.  I'm doing mental gymnastics to figure out which is the best for nufc.

Of course there is. Liverpool supposedly can't even afford to bid until they sell players and won't offer what we want. I don't want to tempt fate, but why should we sell him for less than our value?

he’s going. Once Nunez or Diaz are sold they’ll move for him.

Disagree. They're struggling to sell Nunez, Barcelona are no longer after Diaz and Bayern Munich aren't offering what they want. He'll also need replacing. They'll need to offer what we want to sell and theyve made no indication of doing that.
