Quansah, Kelleher, TAA got them 60m overall. they have more than enough money to spend 160m on Isak if they want. What people need to also understand, Liverpool is an extremely well run club. They employed a manager who at the same time as getting arguing for the 5th substitute under the guise of players playing too much (which benefitted the bigger clubs) also changed the landscape of stoppage time meaning games regularly have 15 minutes added on now. They have rebuilt 2 stands at Anfield which still means that their stadium is behind others, and doesn’t allow them to host UEFA finals (including Euro’s games) and means that the first rows of seats have to be closed for Liverpool UEFA matches. They aren’t well ran, they are well financed. Edited July 30, 2025 by Stifler

alexf
Liverpool probably win the league even if they don't sign Isak. That's how unbalanced this league is.
Ikon
Let the fucker go, but only if it’s on our terms and the best decision for the club financially as well as on the pitch, replacements and strengthening in general to compensate. I dont think so, they are too weak defensively and rely one holding midfielder. They have a horrible start & I have strong feeling the Jota tragedy might catch-up with them when life is supposed to get back to normal

Their scouting network is superb and net spend over the last few years is relatively small, which is why they can go huge this window, after winning the league. Hujisen I won’t count because that was zero chance. Mbuemo and Cunha were the best of the players we’ve been linked with and although they’d improve the XI they’re not purples just like Elanga isn’t one despite improving the starting team. Tonali, Isak, Bruno were purples. Sesko would be, perhaps Guehi/Scalvini my definition of a purple is someone who is elite and we’re punching slightly above our weight to get. Well if we can't sign the puce, we've got zero chance at the purples, madness to think otherwise. I wasn't being literal I was simply using the original posters terminology, for me Mbeumo isn't a purple/blue chip or whatever, not sorry we missed him tbh. Aye, guess it’s more with an eye on winning the CL? Otherwise they really don’t need to spend £150m on him.

Again, I reiterate my point, they are well financed.

Yeah, literally had one on social media just saying they are the best owners in the league and saying they took them from being ‘banter club’ to the top. Since the 70’s, Liverpool at its lowest ebb have for the most part finished high up in the league, and always been capable of winning trophies. Fucking banter club my arse.
