Isak’s complete lack of professionalism and respect for his teammates, manager and the club generally is poisoning the well for me.  I’d rather see him gone at this point.

Just been thinking about this today. All those fans across the other side of the World absolutely desperate to see their hero’s and have probably paid a fortune for the pleasure and this cunt threw his toys out the pram. Really really disappointed in him.

Don’t underestimate the cartel media darlings. They’d love us to turn on Isak and hound him out, then they’d low ball bid (they have done fook all so far) and bingo job done. How could he stay in such a hostile atmosphere.

Do we 100% know this is the case, or more media bollocks - is he really injured and getting treatment or is he staying away, becauuse he is unhappy? If the latter, and confirmed as such, then I am in the same camp. We may well have gone back on previous promises (by the sounds of things) but there are better ways to deal with this, if this is the case. Either way, it's a shit show for all concerned now.

Unpopular opinion, but I don’t give a shite where he goes as long as they cough up the asking price.  He’s acting the cunt at present, and the last thing we need is a sulking player next season.

They have no intention of coughing up the asking price, that's why they are using Isak and his agent to do the negotiating by proxy.

This lad’s behaviour has been the absolute crowning dollop of shit on a summer that’s been dressed head to toe in shite. I’ll never back him again, even if he stays. I’ll celebrate any goals he gets for our team but not for him

And maybe have us turn on him to help him on his way. Job done.

I’m going off two people I know who get good info (and who don’t know each other) - he’s acted like a complete arse-hole and is basically on strike.

As per the post I quoted, he’s let Eddie, team-mates and all the fans over there massively down. A slight thigh injury doesn’t stop your best player and biggest asset going on a huge commercial tour to the far-east.

He’s been totally unprofessional and has made his bed for me personally.

i genuinely never thought he had this in his character mind but there you go.

Sad he’s torching all good will to get this done.

It doesn't get done unless two things happen:

1) We get an adeuate replacement

2) Liverpool pay a fair price for a world class striker

One thing that doesn't quite add up to me is wages.

We know how they can afford the transfer fee. However they just gave Salah and Van Dijk huge new contracts.

No doubt alot of their other players will be on big deals also.

Isn't their supposed to be like a 70% wages to turnover rule for Europe now?

If they are adding Isak on  £300k and Ekitike aswell probably £200k. Surely they are skirting close to the limit.

Or is their revenue really as scarily high as I imagine to be able to afford all of those players salaries ?

Feels a very coordinated message which has interestingly only just cropped up now. Wouldn't be surprise if Wissa's agent is doing the same from a tactical point, some very vague conversation being conveniently taken as a cast-iron guarantee.

Even so, absolutely no right to just fuck off. If you don't like a contract, don't bloody sign it
