The Athletic reported he's at Real Sociedad, training "individually." No need to try and dress this up. He's a Newcastle United player currently at another team trying to keep his fitness in check. It's a bad look.

Imagine that's Bruno Fernandes, what would you all have to say? You'd be pissing your pants laughing at it.

You said he’s training with another team. He’s training on his on when the training ground is shut.

I thought it was maybe all being done on the sly but Liverpool could have plausible deniablility by saying it's just press speculation. But Graham Bailey did reckon that Howe has very good relations with Hughes from Liverpool and they will have discussed it, so who knows? It's possible.

There was some mention of a really long call between us, Isak and Liverpool wasn’t there? I don’t understand that either.

Yeah I don’t get what the process is now either. I guess we’ve given permission for Liverpool to talk to Isak’s people?

Yeah same. If personal terms have been agreed, then realistically, NUFC must have given LFC permission to approach the player/his agent, otherwise it is tapping up.

That though goes against our supposed party line of 'He's not for sale'. Why would we allow them to offer/agree terms if he's not for sale?

But I was talking about this with my son earlier in the week, and in the past a fee would be agreed with the selling club before being allowed to discuss directly with the player.

Now, its seems you can agree terms with the player, turn his head, but then the selling club can be difficult and start pushing the price up, knowing the buying club wants him and he's prepared to go, so becomes a game of brinkmanship.

Not sure when it all changed, but needs to go back to the way it used to be, in my opinion. Stop 'bigger' clubs unsettling players. And in that, I'd include us in the Wissa situation. Had we agreed a fee with Brentford first, then it could have been easier, before we even got to agree anything with the player (if we have).

It's not about you, Froggy, or any of your players. Put your narsassist mask back in the box, it's not needed here. 👍

No one batted an eye lid with maxi returned to France, when Joelinton did similar in Brazil. Sure Bruno did as well. Only a story if he doesn't return. Do you think he won't?

Now is absolutely not the time for your shenanigans

Sorry. I like clubs and hate players.

He's not even our player and I feel so disappointed in Isak. He seemed like one of the ones who'd keep the head down and let the clubs deal with it.

He's fooled us all. It's been a while since I've been this disappointed in a player but we'll all get over it.

I like Froggy but he should be confined to the Man U thread.

I think he imagines that we’re all shaking our fists at him and his expert wind-up. Instead he’s a deeply dull  bellend that regularly makes entire pages and threads a waste of time. He’s like the ‘funny’ one on a football forum in the 2010s.

ASM wasn't being chased by the league winners at the time having asked not to go on pre-season tour with his current employers.

They're both training in a different country under entirely different circumstances, hence the difference in tone.

And believe what media hype?
