of course they try to destabilize us. all our targets ended up at our PL rivals for CL places, all of them. one of our rivals want Isak too.  last thing they want is Newcastle to stand up for themselves and build on the success of Carabao win and CL place.

if we can become a regular CL side meaning we finish top4/top5 most seasons will mean somebody has too miss out on each year out of City, Liverpool, Arsenal, Chelsea, Man Utd, Spurs, if they can keep us and Villa out with PSR then 5 of them will always be in top5 as long as they dont mess up their season as they did last season Spurs and Man Utd but even then one of them got the jolly joker EL win and route to CL.

now in some years 5th may not be a CL place, so its really top4 that is a target, and Masters already has 6 teams for 4 spots, they dont want Newcastle and Villa getting it regularly. I bet they even hate it that we got it last time or this time and Villa got it last year, but this happening regularly is something like a nightmare for them.

the club got themselves in last time into top4 regularly from the outside which they didnt like was City and they find themselves with 115 charges (imo fake charges, City will win their case soon) because they had no better ideas how to stop them and surely they were not interested being bullied into selling their best players to rivals, something that Villa would struggle big time imo currently and even us has this shit Isak saga to deal with now all to weaken and destabilize us.

Can’t help but feel the fans are partially to blame for this. Best striker in Europe and all we could muster was ‘who put the ball in the mackems net’.

Be even more painful when the scousers are serenading him with some witty original tune.

Think this will feel like when Cantona left Leeds for the Mancs, very painful.

On the positive front  ‘who put the ball in the mackems net super Olly Watkins’ will be easy to manage for the masses after December.

Ahem…

Gimme Gimme Gimme a striker from Sweden
He's our number 14 and he plays in attack
Gimme Gimme Gimme a striker from Sweden
First name's Judas and his surname's Cunt

And also

We’ve got Bruno in the middle
Botman at the back

Judas cunt in attack

Hard to disagree with any of this.

Said it for ages, we should have e stuck with the ABBA song for him. However too many of our fans only know 4 tunes.

I’m guessing it Newcastle got a replacement we’d sell Isak

I sort of thought that was what is was, but then I thought, well, if Liverpool had done the same two seasons ago, then they wouldnt be interested in Isak

Was a mental take on the situation.

I don't understand what they are saying there.

It's so dumb on multiple levels.

1) First and foremost, shifts all blame away from Liverpool and their ridiculous bid

2) Ignores the fact they went and signed the player we wanted

3) Assumes there are an abundance of top class strikers available

Would be nice if Saudi clubs en masse put lowball offers in on Liverpool’s better players.

A yellow ticker banner full of Al-Hilal and others offering 30M for Salah, 20M for VVD and the like would be delicious. Can you imagine the furore? Spam the fuckers.

Think you are reading too much in to it. All he’s saying is what other journalists are saying that if we signed a Isak level striker we’d sell. They’ve just added in the stat of goals Isak scored over the last two seasons

if i was the owner of the club i would post an Instagram pic with the cast of bread with all knives and stuff in them and some blood and shit

then i would caption it 'you aint got the bread to buy isak'

Given the Saudis’ reputation in recent times, this may not be the best strategy.

I don't think we'd sell at what they bid if we had a replacement. At least I'd certainly like to think that's the case.

I think we’d enter discussions tho rather than the flat out no that made them back off

I'm going to pretend that's not the case just to feel better. I like to think we told them to do one because their offer is insulting and nowhere near; not because of our incompetence at recruiting replacements.

Yeah, it’s not so great if we’re not selling because we’re shite at making signings.
