Just sign him up to a new contact being by far the highest paid player, buy out clause for next June £160 for PL teams and £135 for other European clubs.

1 more year, give it a good go and see ya later.

I’m happy for him to stay, like. More so to fuck over Liverpool than anything else.

It will be interesting if he stays to see the fans reaction, im pretty much gonna call it now, it will be shite.

He has mugged us off, stick him on the bench for a giggle if he has to stay.

As much as I don’t want to sign Sesko and don’t think it will happen, it would be funny as fuck watching him or someone else come in and have Eddie bench Isak. The obvious downside is that we’ve got an extremely difficult first couple of fixtures

Can’t see Isak being ready for the first few games anyway TBH, more likely eased back in over the first month or so. &nbsp

Nah, im in the tell him to fuck off camp. He's a fucking rat and has been called out.

Fuck Isak

Maybe we can create you a RAWK account while we're at it - they'll love you.

He could have taken a shit on the Angel of the North for all I care, if he comes back and puts the ball in the back of the net to keep a move alive for next year, that is the best outcome for the club.

God it's a fucking mad form of employment, being a footballer. You're duty-bound by your seven-figure salary to go on a multi-week corporate excursion, but you fuck off to Spain instead, without permission and without telling your line manager. And the result is that you're publicly showered with love and affection by said manager.

To be fair, I was thinking about this yesterday, and if anything we're kind of lucky footballers are as ambitious and competetive as they are really. If I had a 5 years long contract with a good wage and setup for life already and was unhappy with my employer. I'd honestly do my best to not to break the contract while giving my absolute bare minimum effort.

Win win for the player and yous. But you don't know what those Scouse rats are telling him, that's the issue. If they're bullying him by saying "it's now or never" they're backing him into a corner.

Wtf is it with you’ve now quoted that “you must be a scouser” shite a few times already this morning just because they have a different opinion, it’s a forum ffs.

I get what you’re saying but…………….. it’s just very different to a ‘normal’ job. It’s a crazy life. Thousands of people would do his job for nowt. You can’t say that for any of our jobs. And you don’t get people having a game of accountants or civil servants or teachers in their spare time. I’ve been to plenty of amateur games where the effort (if not the ability) is equal to that of the pros. I suppose you could say if they are unhappy will they train as hard and focus on the tactics as much. In Isak’s case the only real concern is his fitness and he’s at a level where tactics probably don’t matter to him as much as some others because he is so good. I don’t think most people who love and live football can see the ball and not try. I saw some kids kicking the ball on the beach when I was walking the dog the other day and I was mentally planning my first touch and pass if it came to me.

Can you play midfield pal and are you made of glass?

He's basically completely abandoned his team mates and the fans with this behaviour (especially if he's not even informed the club about training in Spain / going AWOL etc). That's utterly unprofessional and throwing his toys out the pram.

Even if he stays he's gone by next summer - he wants the kind the money the club can't offer and the kind of platform we're more than one season away from.

If we get Sesko in I would fuck Isak off as soon as anything near the valuation comes in.

I dont want it near, I want it at our valuation.

Liverpool getting any kind of discount after what has happened should be out of the question.

The disease of more.

Once you get a taste of that 100k a week lifestyle, you're not going to want that to stop coming into your bank account.  You'll also start looking at how the star veteran on 200k a week is living and want a piece of that as well.

Heck in my "real world" career I've climbed far higher than I thought I ever would with the same motivation but for fractions of these amounts

Right now I'm nowhere near forgiving him I'm afraid. He's shown himself as a pleb and a rat and couldnt give two shiny shites about the club we love.

No one is bigger than the club, least him.

Wasn't Martinez acting the cunt with Villa too?  Smacks of an arsehole of an agent, this.

I find that one funny. He was in tears and waving goodbye to the fans in May. It looks like he’s certain to start this season with them.

Because you're literally parroting what they are pushing for with that attitude.

If the play is "let's commit to selling him, but only if we bleed Liverpool like a stuck pig and make this as painful as possible for them" that's perfectly valid - even if it isnt how I would personally play it.

But you're just advocating accepting the first shitty offer we get because your feelings are hurt.

Eddie admitting he only knows where he is through the media. So we didn't give him permission to travel to Spain.

Eddie’s decision making goes as far as whether he goes on tour. There is no first team training in Newcastle for over 2 weeks. If Eddie decides he’s not coming on tour, the player can obviously choose where he wants to go. Of course Eddie didn’t tell him where to spend his time or order him to go to Sociedad. Eddie did decide not to take him tour.

We can all have an emotional reaction to Isak but by disowning him, he and Liverpool win.

What Eddie is doing and is incredibly clever, is making it absolutely clear that Isaks bridges aren't burnt. Its also clear that's the message from the squad, Bruno, Tripper, Gordon and Burn have all come out with sympathetic voices.

If we as a club start giving it the "noone is bigger than the club" stuff or suggesting that Isak has let anyone down, we lose all of the power in this game.

Of course Isak has acted the cunt but if we dont have a striker or get the correct fee for him, weve lost, its really that simple.

The only question that needs answered is how far does he want to push this. He will either refuse to play for the club again (which will crank the pressure on us) or he will return to training (which will crank the pressure on Liverpool).

IMO, we need to make it clear to him that any refusal to train/play will automatically scupper his move and that we'd rather have an asset sitting in the stands than be bullied.

The thing is, when training starts at Newcastle, he should be there. When actual preseason games starts, he should be there. I have trust we make the right call on this. If he stays, I back him as long as he wears black and white.

Yes he has been a cunt, however i feel we will have a striker for the new season soon. The fans will be 50/50 on this , im not in the camp of forgiving him yet im afraid.

If we sign Sesko, our position strengthens but only if its that level of player.

So long as Newcastle still to their guns 150m + a replacement, we are fine.

Definitely fully agree. Once Eddie left him off the tour, he would not have cared where he was staying fit. If he decides not to bring him back into training when they all come back then he is obviously out the door.

I find the new contract suggestions hilarious, aye let's give him more money so he performs better before fucking off next summer

Not really.

Hes leaving, we know hes leaving. Its when not if.

You give him a new contract so that he performs for 12 months and then we can cash in when its more appropriate.

MGW has just signed a new deal with Forest. If hes still there in 2 years I'll be shocked.
