Most of the signings we've made, Burn aside, have probably known they were going to have a highly succesful career in football since they were teenagers and there's a self-assurance that they have a pre-defined career path in many ways to the top.

 

I look at the likes of Isak, Botman, Hall, livra and most of the others and think they'll have known they were going to play at a high level from the off, injuries aside.

 

Mikel Merino was one of the first players that really made it hit home for me.

 

A career pro willing to go wherever would help him on his way to the top.

One thing I don't buy is that Liverpool were in his ear from the start of the summer or even believed he'd be a viable transfer this summer.

 

If they were, there's no way they hijack our move for Ekitike and so make it harder for them to get Isak. I know they were always after 2 strikers especially after Jota but they would most definitely have prioritised Isak out of the two if they thought he was gettable and then turned attention to an Elitike-level striker (eg Sesko) from elsewhere.

 

This leads me to believe that Isak amd/or agent is not innocent in instigating the whole thing.

Liverpool reached out to his agent in late March to sound out his availability. His agent and Isak are smarting over the gentlements agreement being rescinded, are amenable to the idea of talking it through. He downs tools and strolls for the rest of the season hoping that us missing out on the CL makes the switch a bit smoother, fucking Manchester United back us into the CL and then he just puts his snake cunt prick plan into overdrive, without requesting a transfer because he's a money grubbing cunt. 

After that the media does the rest and the Etikite thing was weird because it was genuinel just them flexing PSR muscle on us. Now we're here, where hopefully we put this cold motherfucker in a box for a year and fuck him off to the continent for 130 next year. Maybe fuck up his World Cup as well.

I'd love it if we could sign two strikers, and still afford to play him in the U21s for the next year as a power move and a "fuck you" to Liverpool. They'd probably then have to sign another striker instead of waiting for him too, leaving them out of the picture next summer.

I think that's the case. Only real reason I see why Isak behaving like he does even if he should respect a contract.

We can have what ever feelings we want it appears (purely by the amount of striker targets) that the club want him gone. He’s made it that way. I think everyone to a man would want him back on board scoring goals but he doesn’t want to be here.

He's engineered it at the behest of the dippers. I don't give a shit if he's a snake, he's also probably the best striker in the world right now and letting him go to LFC basically guarantees them another glutful of trophies. Come the end of the window, I have a feeling the fee we eventually get for Isak will leave the bitterest taste. Just can't see us getting near the 150 everyone is hoping for.

For all the arrogant and smug behaviour of their 'fans' on social media, Liverpool have already shown their hand - they're desperate to get him. Look at the lengths they're going to with all the Romano stuff. We know they need a forward and can't go into September without one. They're banking on him throwing his toys and us buckling under all the pressure. But time is running out. 

 

There will come a point - 10, 15, 20 days later that Liverpool either raise their offer or switch targets. We'll have to reject, because we now have no one left to go for, and because prices keeo escalating for alternatives, which is why we need an even bigger fer to sell Isak late in the winfow. I think we went big for Sesko with a mindset of selling Isak, but also knowing that Sesko was the last realistic option to replace Isak and make a clean break.

 

If Liverpool have to give up, and they will if we hold our ground, they'll go big for someone else. If that happens, I believe we can start reintegrating Isak because there'll be no point in him downing tools and sulking. He'll know he needs a good season for a big foreign team to come in and pay what he wants.
