Sounds like horseshit. Why would we have given them encouragement to bid, unless it was simply to enjoy the opportunity to tell them to fuck themselves?

The same reason we bid for Šeško and enquired about Jackson & Samu I’d imagine

Nowt like a bit of victim-blaming

That’s the Scouser’s for you, look at yesterday, won’t respect the national anthem, but then expect total respect for 1 of their players 1 minute later. Victim logic right there

It does sound like Liverpool are ready to move elsewhere this week if there's no more wild shenanigans from Isak agent. Doesn't sound like a £150m bid will come (maybe £10m more at best).

So his agent needs to pip the fuck down. Take the new contract (same wages) where it's with a release clause of £120m next summer (fee that was here this summer) where if it's not activated, his wage increases to £250k. Essentially he leaves next summer or he's committed long term.

They’re hoping to leave it late and back us into a corner near the deadline. Offer something close to our ideal value but still not what we’d usually accept unless we were pressured. They’re hoping a “close enough” bid coupled with Isak being a bellend will force us into a sale. I say that close to the end of the window = no chance.

What in the actual fuck? We encouraged them to bid?

I’ve got visions of Liverpool making the call to the club with the £110m bid being like when Patrick Bateman calls up Dorsia to make a reservation and the guy on the other end just laughs at him.

That only works if we’ve signed two centre forwards beforehand.  If they think that’s happening, then they’re as unaware of our summer dealings as I’d like to be

They don’t consider anybody but themselves. They think they get Isak and we’d be happy with some bum from the Jupiler league or something. They don’t contemplate that other clubs have ambition as they do. They make the rules.

But you’re right. He ain’t going anywhere without suitable replacement and at the minute that suitable replacement doesn’t exist.
