Torn between two things Friday night.

Liverpool win and Etitike scores again, that surely reduces their appetite to pay £130m rising to £150m on another striker when one they've signed already has scored in their first two games? Liverpool lose, the noise will be ramped up again that a bid is incoming as they deflect the attention away from the result and the saga continues.

Think if Liverpool win in that first scenario, it won't be long after for the narrative to shift and "Isak is ready to stay and fight for his space".

If Liverpool sign Guehi and Leoni will they have anything left to spend on Isak? Or can they do what they like because Liverpool.

Don’t you find it interesting that suddenly Liverpool changed their focus on CB and then the “very very soon” new bid for Isak is still missing?

Etitke pulls a hamstring. Liverpool offer £140m, we decline, Liverpool then offer £145m, we decline. Carry on that till September.

Believe it or not. Not every Liverpool fan is like that potato headed shouty Irish fella and a lot of the foreign fans that frequent social media.

Most of the ones I know have been against his carry on, can see the way it will play out in the future with him and a few are even against the signing because of his actions.

I concur, as I've said previously, being from the North West I have 4 friends that are Liverpool supporters and they agree that this has left a bad taste in their mouths and feel they're probably just another rung in his ladder before he does this to them too for one of the big Spanish clubs.

Regardless of Ekitike scoring or not the scouse pricks can't go into the season with one striker that's playing with fire, as to whether the 2nd striker will be Isak, I feel like they have pressing issues across the park and will have to budget better than to blow it all on our star striker. I'm pretty sure this is over whatever happens, so a double hammy tear and a 4-0 loss on Friday please, just desserts.

Think they go elsewhere. Seemingly only made a play for Isak as agent said he’s available and they made a move but were slammed away immediately as he’s not available.

Diaz was always leaving and Nghouma (sp?) being promoted. Nunez always leaving and Eititke arriving, the Jota death then leaves an unplanned gap. A world class striker in Isak being available was an opportunistic move (otherwise they would’ve moved as soon as season ended), which after being pushed away, they’re better off leaving it till January or at worse going elsewhere. They have more than enough array of different players to slot up front if Etitike was ruled out for a period of time.

Who's going to play centre forward for Newcastle United then?

Whoever we sign as a replacement. You think he still plays for us after this? Think he cares enough to give his all? You're mad to think the preferred option is to have him sulk around the pitch given half the effort while his team work their arses off.

PSG, £130m ish. Problem solved for everyone.

I feel it's coming.

There was a story yesterday that Barcelona were pissed off with Sesko because they expected to be in for him next year.

So there's the answer.  Barcelona give us Ferran Torres and £80m, plus some add-ons, we give them some favourable payment terms so they can afford it this year and Isak gets his actual dream move.

Everyone wins except for Liverpool.
