We can’t replace him. We can mitigate the issues up top with a Wissa but losing him is going to be hugely to our detriment however and whenever it happens. Forget about the 27 goals and 6 assists, his presence alone gets goals for Gordon and the rest of them.

Think we will be much better without the lady greedy fucker. Easily replaced.

We shouldn't be aiming to replace him, it's basically impossible as you say. We should however be aiming to bring in a competent pair of strikers and to improve the squad as a whole with whatever money is brought in.

There's no way back for him and I'm surprised people want to keep him at this point to be honest. It's cutting off our nose to spite our face, he simply doesn't want to play for us, he didn't at the end of last season either and in hindsight it was incredibly evident in his half arsed performances. That is the Isak we'd get if we forced him to stay.

agreed on the half arsed bit. The fact people think it’s a conspiracy that he downed tools post cup final (and pre Halloween ish) is beyond me.

Been one of the most self-injurious acts in football in the last decade, even though his only intent was to harm us. The stupid fucking cunt

Why the fuck can he not act professionally the daft twat - have we not done anything for him?

Whether he stays or goes next season I am done with the fucker - let him rot for a year - teach him and his agent a lesson

This should be the way, but I hope we can sign Wissa + A. N. other and still keep him. We probably can't afford to, though.

Certainly we can.Sell him next June then it counts to same accounting year.

If we truly want to teach him and his agent a lesson, we should let him rot for three. Obviously that won't happen. But it should.

No it isn't. 1) it's obviously been difficult bringing anyone of good quality in. 2) since the club have hte leverage here with his contract, they shouldn't blink just for immediate short term gains. Get rid of him on their terms and when the replacements are in. 3) send a message to the other players that we expect them to honor thier contracts. And send a message to other clubs that we will not be forced to sell our assets. We sell only on our terms.

What is folly is to hand the leverage over to the other camp.

An idea I like - but would also like someone to take this prick off us for a decent wedge

It absolutely is cutting off our nose if he refuses to play, half arses it, or spends his days stinking up the dressing room; at worst it's a complete wasted squad space, at best it's a player going through the motions who we can't trust and who his teammates can't trust. We'd potentially be writing off the league season and a champions league campaign purely to show him who's boss.

We need players at the club who want to play for us first and foremost, there's absolutely no point having any player here if they don't want to be, it doesn't matter how good they are. I seriously doubt Eddie wants him here at this stage, regardless of what he says in his press conferences.

Once again, you just open the door for trouble if you sell him because you are tired of the headache. You're no longer selling him based on the leverage you have. if he continues to refuse to play, then he is just fucking with his own career, not to mention Sweden's chances. Once the window slams shut, if we can't sell him for the price that we demand, the likelier scenario is that he comes back with his tail between his legs, and does his job until at least the next window. If he doesn't, then he is one of the stupidest players on the planet. The fact is that Isak has a much shittier hand than he thinks because of that contract.

We're going to run into a squad registration problem soon enough.  I'm fairly sure that we have 24 players currently that would get registered, if we bring in a new forward to replace Wilson we'll hit the 25 man limit.  If we want to bring in someone else after Wissa (assuming that deal is completed) we'll have to sell someone first or leave someone like Matt Targett unregistered and unable to play for the season.

Let's see how the club choose to play it then I guess. PIF and Howe are both pretty stubborn, so it'll be interesting to see which side of the argument they sit on.

I suspect he won't be a Newcastle player by September 1st.

We don’t need half a dozen keepers registered… also if we get two strikers send osolu out on loan.
