Even after the meetings saying he wants to leave, we still should be going for one or the other of Larsen and Wissa, plus Isak from a few weeks time. Larsen seems like he'd hit the ground running. We're going to have to pay £10-15m over valuation for both so we have to stay firm on £150m for Isak.

I can't imagine this is a transfer that can be done in 3-4 days.

You never seen a deadline day? It could be done in hours if every party wanted it to

If your wolves your daft it your accepting our offer before deadline day as well. Maximum rinse potential if your them.

Think the only way it could happen in that sort of time frame is if we already have the replacement in place. Which is also looking increasingly unlikely.

His contract would be agreed already with Liverpool. Which is funny, as he’d have agreed around £275k+ mark, where now Liverpool probably regret that and can’t back track to get it a bit lower (giving how little pre season he has done / conduct / only club in for him).

Just from our end, it’s do we want to rush our own signings just to appease Liverpool and Isak? I doubt it. As Howe said before, what we do will always be in best interest of Newcastle United.

Then the players we have been after:

Larsen - No reason for Wolves to sell and be left short. He scores 15 this season, that same fee is there next summer.

Wissa - Clear reason to sell, but has to be £50m+, which with 12+12 months left, is that in best interest for Newcastle United?

Jackson - Clear reason to sell, but likely is £50m+ as it gets later in window. Think this is the one that I’m not keen on, but becomes more viable as each day passes as Chelsea need a sell and terms becomes more better for us as a result.

Watkins - Unknown.

Like everyone, I want what's best for the football club, but of course, we all have slightly different opinions of what 'the best' looks like.

For me, the absolute priority is to stand our ground and show that as a club we don't cave in to the pressure from bum agents, media shills and man child players. By digging our heels in we'll probably end up selling him for under our valuation for eg Barca/Real next season for 110m, but so what. We're a club that is aiming to be #1, we don't get there by selling a domestic rival our best player*.

So the question is, what do we do with him? Reintegration is out of the question, our players deserve better than to be told to welcome back with open arms a guy who has torpedoed their pre season and cost them 3-5 points in the opening 2 games. Thankfully, as per ShadowPuppets post, it seems the squad and manager won't entertain having him back.

Is there any chance we could just fuck him off to Fenerbache or someone on loan like that until next season?

*our best player when he can be arsed. For the first 1/3 and last 1/3 of last season he was a passenger

If he were to come back I'd guess the players and staff would be professional enough to get on with it. Isak himself would have to earn his place as opposed to open arms and I'd trust the fans not to sing his name, sing everybody else's, back the club but not his.

Notwithstanding I'm picking and choosing what rumour/ITK/pundit crack that suits BUT....

He's not going to play for us again......his stance

Players AND Eddie want shot of him......Shad crack

We don't want to sell to L'pool.......emotion

Tell the cunt he ain't going anywhere and, if he doesn't make himself available at 9am every morning, ain't getting paid. Wait until our window is shut then give him a nonPIF Saudi club get out. £130m plus

This is a complicated transfer and there is a lot for the clubs to agree on. It's rare for major transfers to happen on the last day anymore, isn't it?

Dont forget Liverpool will be respectfully waiting for us open the door for them to lowball us again. . . . . . . .

I dont know why the club hasnt released some fake interest from other clubs into the media to spook Liverpool. Agents do it all the time for players so why shouldn't clubs to get more money and force the hand of the buyer.

Liverpool and his agent are clearly colluding, the line is he only wants Liverpool so interest from another club isn’t going to do anything.

It simply has to be 150 million minimum if we sell him to these cunts.

Eddie might want him gone but PIF need to lay down a marker here. This has been Liverpool’s game all along and we absolutely look weak as fuck if we fold.

Why the hell would you accept the same offer Liverpool made weeks ago but right at the end of the transfer window? Makes no sense.

Stick to your guns. The lad will bottle it and apologise when it doesn't go through. It's WC next summer, he's not just going to sit out a full season - unless he's absolutely got nothing up top

He has to go for me. I've chopped and changed my mind daily on the whole thing.

Howe and the squad seem to thrive on togetherness and spirit. I just can't see a scenario anyone at the club wants him back with the squad and risks that togetherness. Don't care where he goes, just get him gone at a price we deem acceptable (replacements dependant)

Wonder how this fucker feels having to pull our clubs colours on to go and train on his own at a club he clearly despises (Fuck knows why)

Should take the kit off him whilst he won’t play for the first team and make him dress out of the lost property bin.
