So after effectively going on strike with 3 years left on his deal, this smug cunt triples his wages now, has cost us at least 4 points already, and fucked whatever succession plan we ever had for him so our "profit" after replacing him will be negligible.

Modern football never ceases to amaze me.

Worried what kind of precedent this sets going forward. I can't imagine Tonali going to the same toxic lengths as Isak next summer but we thought the exact same about Isak a mere 2 months ago.

We simply have to get another striker in tomorrow otherwise the season is a write off. No way we could compete for European spots especially considering the level of investment from our rivals.

I've already mentally prepared for midtable mediocrity this season. I'm still hoping we can conjure up a magical run in the Champions League though

And just so people are aware here. The annual cost of big Nick is more than what Isak was, basically the player is more expensive.

If we buy Wissa for something daft like 50m his cost will also be more on an annual basis (we aren't giving him a 5 year deal)

The same will be the case for Jsl. We are paying more for less essentially.

Going into a make or break day and everyone knows you've got 130 million in your pocket is a sensational look. Unless we can buy a striker from ourselves we'll likely not find any clubs willing to play ball, especially if we stick to the PL. They'll ask themselves "Why strengthen a rival?" Which is fairly revolutionary thinking around our way.

I know we’re all conditioned to it at this point, but I’m not buying the sky falling. I don’t think this ends up setting a precedent where all our top players are just waiting to fuck us over….that doesn’t give our lads much credit at all. And by all accounts they’re furious at the way Isak has abandoned them.

There’s a ton of blame to be leveled at the club…it’s a searing indictment of ownership that we are still with two senior executive positions unfilled.

But I’m choosing to level most of my ire at Isak, his shithead agent, and most importantly, at Liverpool.

This hurts a lot, but it won’t break the club.

As much as I am angered like the rest of N-O are tonight, I'm a bit relieved that this shitfest cloud is moving away soon. I want what Eddie and the players want. If they want him out for the sake and progress of the team, then I'm with them. If the cunt was staying , reintergrated in the team but was half-arsed about it until January at thr vey earliest, the team, the club, the manager, would have Isak questions asked of it throught. Yes, they still may be questions asked once the fuckhead is gone but atleast Eddie and us as fans can get back to suppprting the team without having a greedy bastard as part of it.

We can all question about the fee, about PIF, about the cartel and etc, but the season starts now and there is no reason why it can't be a successful one.

We are United, Newcastle United! Get into them! Howay the Lads!!!!

I think your post is a fair one, reasonable and measured. I also don't believe our payers are dick heads what I do believe is we are no longer particular attractive and we've shown ourselves to he both poor negotiators and weak willed.

I couldn't careless about Isak personally focusing on the individual other than calling him a cunt is reductive. For me this was about facing a test and standing on business and by my measure we failed it spectacularly.
