Lotus
Lack of leadership in key positions at the club through what as a very, very important couple of months. If EH left we’d be scrapping in around 15-10th such is the lack of direction. Expect its rare clubs like ManU and Spurs have such terrible seasons and on top of that we have a good season and find ourselves in the CL again. Opportunities like that come up a competent and ambitious leadership team make hay. I felt like they knew Isak was going, or they were gonna let him go from the moment we bid for Ekitike. We’ve had so much time to organise this better but I’m very underwhelmed. It’s not that it’s Liverpuddle, it’s the timing. F**k all time left to do something truly constructive with the money. I get it's difficult but this saga proves it more than anything that it's good for your sanity to try and care a little bit less about the whole thing. It's only going to get worse from here on in with the way the game is going - even if we have more success. I said it at the time that we'll never ever top the cup final and seeing a local lad head in one of the goals t end such a long drought. That's the peak. Spot on this Most of them are spoilt brats who don't give a shite about us fans I'd love to be able to just step back and say fuck it completely. In 2018/2019, our revenue was £170m. Liverpool’s was £530m. More than 3x. In 2023/2024, our revenue was £320m. Liverpool’s was £580m. Less than 2x. The gap is shrinking. In 5 years, if the gap is less than 1.5x, they won’t be buying anyone from us.

Cf
Could be an interesting one for Liverpool this. You never say no to a player of Isak's quality but he doesn't seem to be what their squad is crying out for at the moment. They must surely be starting to hit PSR limits themselves as well? We grew our commercial revenue 27% last time I read. If we manage that each year then we'll be staying ahead of the rest of the pack at the very least and able to continue improving the squad. Think this says a lot, now compare to Chelsea or Spurs and another 3 or 4 years and we're getting pretty close to both of them if we can keep growing revenue at the same rate. Throw in a new stadium or an un-expected Champions League semi-final or a bit of title challenge and we won't be far of at all. This is where the Isak sale has helped as we will be able to go again transfer wise next summer rather than looking over our shoulders at FFP. Chicken Dancer
Actually hate saying this as karma entails it will probably be me or worse Woltemade who it happens too, but I can't help but wish him a serious, season ending injury very soon. This coward will definitely have a groin issue before they come to St James' next season though. I hope to fuck Sky stick it on 17:30 on a Saturday. We will still lose in added time but it will be nice to chuck a pigs head at him or something.
