Especially as he was brought in to replace Platini and Boniek as the focal point of that side. He simply wasn't good enough. No shame in that, Italy was the toughest league in the world at that time. Of course, Liverpool fans will tell you none of it was his fault, that he failed in Italy.

It's not all nonsense. I never said all stats were nonsense. I like stats. A data driven approach based on facts can often provide the framework for improvements in many walks of life. Descriptive stats are great. Inferential stats in the hands of experts can be useful. But this new obsession with ordinary punters using inferential stats in football discussion is hollow as fuck. People love watching and talking about football because it’s a game of skill, chance and emotion, not because a Lawrence Logic punter can dig out inferential statistics. Wolfcastle
On two subjects - Bergkamp was a massive flop in Italy, 10 in 40 which is similar to Rush's, was also a disaster off the park, surly unfriendly attitude the gist of it. Isak sounds ideal for that role.
Lucky
Their players haven’t been happy with the way he’s been training (if you’re to believe those reports) - but that falls in line with how he was acting before he left here, even that small amount of training he did was half arsed at best according to club staff. Happens in normal life all the time, you get some guy in some job he hates and he just walks, or “quiet quits”.. without any consideration for what happens next. Motivation completely gone and it’ll take rock bottom to rediscover it again. Except on 300k a week he may never rediscover it.

Superior Acuña
Torres is the one that seemed biggest to me. From so good to so shit and plenty of chances to turn it around, and it just never happened. It seemed bizzare. At the time, it seemed like persistent injuries were starting to take their toll on him. It definitely felt to me like Chelsea were getting a player on the downward slide. Liverpool were more than happy to get rid and replace him with Carroll and Suarez.

I tried a search, but couldn't find anything. Some shit AI reported that were no "credible reports". When I asked for any negative reports at all, it said there were none. andycap
Carroll to Liverpool was the biggest fall from grace I've seen. He was unplayable when he played for us then turned to shit overnight at the scousers.
