Ryan seems to get all the plaudits but it was Rob who watched the Sunderland documentary on Netflix that kicked this all off. Without that, there wouldn’t have been a takeover.

Isn’t that a myth?

He even says in the 1st episode of Welcome to Wrexham that he worked with a Brit who loved football and told him about the league structure.

Nah, media talk over here is he’s a frontman for a larger conglomerate. Not a ton of money in from his perspective, just a stake and take the hits.

He’s a shit pundit but an excellent story teller when he’s allowed to be himself as guests on other platforms like Carragher’s podcast, Crouchie’s podcast and some others Joe Cole’s iirc.

For instance… posted yesterday. Stories you don’t hear everyday.

Personal preference / dislike aside, what are people hoping for in the Man Utd vs Brighton match tomorrow?

If Brighton were to win, then, like us, they may have the final on their minds for a game or two prior to the big occasion, which may help us, but on the other hand, if we were to lose tomorrow and Spurs and Liverpool pass us and we finish 6th then Brighton winning the FA Cup would mean that we played Europa Conference instead of Europa. Less likely Villa will knock us into 7th, but if that was the case, then we wouldn't be in Europe at all with a Brighton win. They would of course have to beat Man City in the final, which they would be sizable underdogs, but we've seen Leicester and Wigan win as underdogs in the past 10 years, and even Bruce's Hull coming within a whisker of beating Arsenal.

If we were to finish at least 5th then the final would have no bearing on us.

I'm probably hoping Brighton win and then if we finish 4th or 5th, hope they go on to win the final (as the league will have finished by then), but if we are 6th / 7th then obviously hope that Man City win.
