Danh1
Blatant penalty not given on Brooks. Shame VAR isn’t being used, as it would’ve been good to waste 3 minutes whilst a couple of spenks miles away watch it 15 times from different angles and still get it wrong. leffe186
Oof, that looked stonewall at first and such a penalty on replay. One of those where the ref just needs glasses.

Yeah, or there’s no VAR, West Brom get on a roll, equalize, win on penalties, earn millions and millions next year, Southampton have to sell loads of players, eventually get relegated, go into administration etc etc . DahnSahf
Whatever you think of VAR, that was the perfect illustration of why it was being demanded.

Feels like we’d still be better off without it…but then there’d be one of those games where the ref blatantly bottles it at Anfield or the Emirates and I’d be putting a brick through the telly. Did the ref book both the West Brom players there? Edited May 17 by leffe186

Gottlob
Some player Adam Armstrong! Only one year left on his contract too . . .

Speaking of which, I wonder how the ref thought he could have played the ball without going through the man.
leffe186
Amazing night to be a Southampton fan though. Game won, going to Wembley, and it’s Friday night. Would be even better if you weren’t spending it in Southampton.
Infatuation Junkie
Hope Leeds go back up. But Southampton have taken 6 points off them this season with relative comfort. This will be a cracking match. Love the championship playoff final. Gnonto is by far the best player they have IMO. Struggled when he was out.
Guest
If Southampton come up are they required to buy Ryan Fraser?
OhSholaAmeobi
Would take Armstrong on a loan w/ option for like £12m if Southampton don't come up. Can provide cover for striker and right wing. Sorts us out for the homegrown rule - get Fraser Forster in as second choice for around a million and we're laughing. Then we can sell Longstaff and release Dummett without any qualms. Joking aside, I like Armstrong, but I'd like to think we're targeting players above his level.

Keep up
Scoreboard82
Watched most of the Scottish championship play off between Raith and Partick. Raith at home and 2-1 up after the 1st leg. Partick won 2-1 last night and went to pens after ET. Raith missed the 1st pen but eventually won the shoot out. I'm sure Partick lost the play off last season too. They missed good chances in normal time and their keeper was either mm away or got a hand on all Raiths pens too. Enjoyable game unless you're a Partick fan. Keep up He has developed you know. He's arguably been the best player in the championship, not just a scorer but a brilliant creator these days. He'd be 3rd choice striker and rotation for the wings/attacking midfield as well as being club homegrown for europe without paying much.

Bundesliga has a full schedule - Hoffenheim/Bayern or Frankfurt/Leipzig probably the pick. Hearts/Rangers / Celtic/St Mirren if you're into that Torino/Milan, Braga/Porto, Bolton/Oxford play-off on later Full schedule of PL womens too
