He throws the ball back rather than away. Ref was so card happy he didn't even take a second to think.

I fancy PSG and Atletico to beat Arsenal more than Bayern so that’s who I want to progress. I think the weakness of the Bundesliga and Ligue 1 has become an advantage to Bayern/PSG. They get to April/May way fresher than PL even La Liga.

Miggys First Goal
Forest, Villa and Palace all going through as it stands. If we bucked our ideas up, that could be us next season.

Yorkie
Even putting to one side the overpowering nature of the PL at the Europa scale, Betis and Freiburg playing our a semi-final is a real sign of how the calibre of the competition has fallen. Betis have only made the Last 16 the odd time and Freiburg have no meaningful European record to speak of. Still, would be absolutely fantastic if one of them somehow managed to stop Villa/Forest (probably Villa).

Jewel
Given the choice between Forest and Villa, it is Forest all the way for me. Forest in the Champions League after all these years would be quite something.

Yep, gone are the days of Juventus, Bayern, Inter Milan etc winning the old UEFA Cup. Back when it was a harder competition to win than the European Cup/Champions League. That always struck me as one of the oddest transfers in football history.
sixx
The winner of the english tie wins it. I have a soft spot for Forest. My norwegian cousins are die hard Forest fans and go to the City Ground multiple times every year since the early nineties. Boy have they suffered. I’d like to see Anderson have a hand in winning it for them. Went to the City Ground for my second time seeing NUFC in the league cup under Benitez. We lost 3-1 but a really nice stadium to visit. I’m a bit drunk.
Erikse
Can't just assume that we would have had a similar season as them. For example they managed to get top 8 and almost beat PSG in the quarterfinal last season, while being 1 point off another CL qualification in the league. Compare that to our season. Obviously we would go far in that tournament, but we would probably field a very strong team in every game and every tournament, win by a large margin against the worst teams, and then have fatigue and injury struggles. We also don't have a playstyle suited to that amount of games, even if it's weaker opposition. Edited April 17 by Erikse

Villa have a more even squad and are less dependent on ‘purples’ than us. They’ve been way more proactive than us in a number of ways off the pitch. Lots of wheeling and dealing in transfers and PSR hacks. Their owner actually wants to win and does what they can to make it happen.

They beat Bayern for instance.
