What's happening to Villa is what people said would probably happen, based on them sneaking 1-goal wins, often via worldies, mostly having less chances/pressure than their opposition. I read an entire article on it and posted about it in here. It was interesting to read up on it. They were creating clear sights of goal from distance for players who have excellent long range shooting ability. And that’s how they were scoring goals. It wasn’t a worldie when you looked at how the long range chance was created, who took the shot and who the opposition defenders and keeper were. Do what you want, I'm just telling you that I'd prefer to get over the disagreement about the validity of stats and just let people talk about what they're in the middle of talking about. I thought it was funny as well, but it's wearing thin from my perspective when it's literally every single time stats are mentioned, and I say that as someone who otherwise enjoys your craic. And I posted another gif Sleep Tight Ya Pervert and an “xG never lies” post immediately after Villa lost. That’s not derailing discussion and it didn’t need a “yawn” response from you either. The VAR Result = Nonce is a magnificent gif and got plenty of likes. The deployment was exemplary, if I do say so myself. I don’t think I’ve been on any anti-stat crusades for weeks now. Certainly none of any significance, I’ve been happily letting the nonces have their fun. I’ve been way too busy complaining about match tickets and match atmosphere.
