All comes down to Sunday for me, win and we do it. Any other outcome and I think we miss out.

It really is that simple .

Definitely not that simple. It is almost a must not lose game but even then we could win the final two and still get CL. A draw would throw it completely in the balance (depending on other results) and a win would almost see us there but not guarantee it.

Huge game either way but not the be all and end all.

It's kinda always been this way for me - although not to the extreme.

68 points has been my mark for some time. I didn't think we would get anything from Amex, Villa Park, or Emirates, nor did we need to. So the Amex point is a bonus.

If we don't beat Chelsea, Chelsea will get 67 points or more.

City will get 67 points or more.

Then we are reliant on Villa & Forest faltering.

If we don't beat Chelsea, there's a world where they and Forest can draw and get them both qualified.

Beat Chelsea. Emirates is a free hit. Beat Everton. CL secured. Simple.

I’m not stressed by Sunday as we know how to manage big games now. If we’re up for it we can certainly beat Chelsea and I’m confident that we will be ready to win

That's how I see it. A draw is a very likely outcome on Sunday no matter how much I would prefer to win it. But if we don't win I won't be assuming it's game over and assuming we are out of the running for CL football. Villa still have points to make up on us, and we only have to finish ahead of either them or Forest even if Chelsea finish higher.

How? Why?

Chelsea away form to top clubs:
Liverpool (L)

Arsenal (L)

Man City (L)

Villa (L)

Newcastle home form to top clubs:
Liverpool (D)

Arsenal (W)

Man City (D)

Villa (W)

Forest (W)

Very happy to need to beat this Chelsea team at home to secure CL football. If we can't beat them we just aren't good enough and that's fine.

12am ko is absolutely wank if you like/need a beer whilst watching it.

I'm married to an Alcohol Specialist Nurse who's at graft on Sunday.

Be great her walking into the living room at 5pm only to be confronted by her paralytic husband lying in a coma, in a pool of his own piss, covered in crisps

How about 12pm?

edit - tbf if you convince yourself it’s a 12am ko, that could possibly be an acceptable state to find yourself in.

It obviously isn't

I really think it is . Beat Chelsea and we will get top 5, don't beat them and I don't think we will due to the fixtures us and the teams around us have left. Let's see how it pans out .

It's not completely out of question to think that we couldnt draw arsenal and beat everton if we draw to Chelsea this weekend, which assuming villa don't win all their remaining games, could be enough assuming that final game between forest and Chelsea doesn't end in a draw.

Still much more difficult so I agree we really need to beat Chelsea this weekend

Just realised Arsenal may need result against us to secure champions league, not ideal.

It's why we're gonna need to root for arsenal to beat Liverpool this weekend but I doubt they will.

Liverpool are at home, and won't want to lose two in a row (especially if this is against arsenal) so they will actually try
