The Prophet
6 minutes ago, James said: Would actually be massive if Bournemouth beat Man City in the FA Cup this weekend. Suddenly you potentially have Forest or Brighton, Villa, Bournemouth, and Fulham all distracted by a trip to Wembley and their biggest chance to win a trophy for at least a generation. Surely they'll be distracted regardless?

Optimistic Nut
Man Utd under Mourinho when they finished 6th, are the only club since Swansea in 2013 to win the League Cup and not qualify for the Champions League through the league in the same season. Even they were in the CL the next season due to winning the Europa League.
ExiledGeordie
Was there any news on Chris Woods hip injury? Wouldn’t wish a long term injury on him at all but if he misses several games that’s not ideal for Forest.

Fenham Mag
Yes Marmoush is class, but still, you’d rather Haaland not be fit for them in the run in. Edited March 31 by Fenham Mag

Optimistic Nut
Could do with Man Utd turning up tonight just to put some jitters up Forest for the run-in.

Obviously it's better for us if those 3rd/4th/5th spots are between Forest/Chelsea/Man City & us but I'd like to see Forest batten down 3rd. Bit of a gamble in my head like but if we do get in as well that's 2 places the cartel aren't in. Cunts
NSG
Don’t ask me why, but I stupidly listened to the True Faith podcast yesterday. On it they were in unanimous agreement that they’d rather be in our league position that Forests, because it’s “better to be the hunter than be hunted”. Aye, being on 54 points is worse than being on
Optimistic Nut
Would be nice but all about self-preservation for me. If they slip up tonight then Villa away on Saturday becomes a sod for them. We do our part those two games and the gap is almost wiped out.

Aye, being on 54 points is worse than being on 47 To be fair I think the point was made that “if” we won our game in hand it’d only 4 points which gives something to chase. Aye, being on 54 points is worse than being on 47 Yeah that needlessly wound me up. Being the hunter worked out so well for Liverpool in 22/23 with us. ExiledGeordie
I think if we can win these next two games close together the league could look really good going into the home match v Man U

Yeah I think they’ll be fine now but tonight is key for them because as you say if they slip up and then go into that Villa game they could come unstuck. The Wood injury is key for them too. Aye, being on 54 points is worse than being on 47 Robson and Hurst do my nappa in. Her whiney voice. Him all pompous. I tried after the Cup Final one but lasted 5 minutes. Especially when the pair of them hoy those effected 'f' bombs in.

I don’t mind Hurst too much really though I know loads can’t hack him, each to their own etc. Corby and Norman are the best on there really.

Haaland injury is the sort of thing which will ignite Man City season. Marmoush up front who can actually press, and importantly drop into pockets and rotate with like Foden up top. I can see their football being a lot better and questions rightly asked for next season if Man City are better as an overall team (like 18-21) as a result than 22-25 where Haaland has been there. SteV
Obviously means absolutely nothing at present, but it’s still kinda interesting to see how things would stand if the season finished now.
