Clearly people thought they could win 9 in a row not 10. And they failed at the penultimate hurdle.

But statistically, was it less likely they’d win the next two once they’d won the first seven??

Looked at that list on Transfermarkt myself just the other day, we also got the oldest average squad age in the league.

Mostly the reserves bringing up the average age though(compared to other teams). Our first XI is in a pretty good state. Especially if we include Hall, Livramento and Botman.

Replacing the likes of Krafth(30), Wilson(33), Dubravka(36), Lascelles(31), Gillespie(33), Ruddy(38!) etc. with younger talents isnt like having to replace Salah or De Bruyne.

We will miss Trippier ofc. Thankfully we already got a pretty good replacement for him.

That's true, if we take out the non-playing keepers and Lascelles the average age is 26.95. Even just taking the three keepers out is 27.14.

If we can bring in a GK, CB and a forward all <25yo then the squad is looking pretty good age-wise.

It's obviously not gonna happen but I'd still be pretty amused if US, Forest AND Villa get 3rd, 4th and 5th.

In any order, tbf

I want Villa to miss out , they are our closest competitor really in terms of what they are trying to do so. Man City ourselves and Forest would be the best outcome .

It’s crazy that we’ve won 14 of the last 19 (in the league since Brentford) and it’s still nowhere near being wrapped up. Just shows how good/consistent we’d need to be to actually win the league.

I can see Palace turning forest over at home on Monday night now like. Still be on a high after last week's semi final and pretty Doom and gloom with forest at the minute
