The College Dropout
2 hours ago, TRon said: Chelsea's midfield are apparently functioning a lot better since Lavia has come back in. Add to that we will have a vital cog missing in Joelinton. This is the problem with writing off clubs with Chelsea's resources, they have a far deeper squad than us. Yes we are at home, yes we can win. But let's not pretend this is like playing Fulham or Wolves at home. This is a big game between two very big teams, nothing can be taken for granted. Fancy Joe to come back in. Doesn’t really matter about Chelsea’s team. We’ve beaten better teams without Joe this season already. We have to win. I trust that we will. Decky
Hopefully Bournemouth beat Villa here. Would mean Villa cant catch us if we win tomorrow, and with Chelsea and Forest playing on the last day it all but puts us in the CL. Huge weekend.

Ellis H
When we do the anti-competition lawsuit, a few of these recent performances need to be included as evidence. Both Liverpool and Bournemouth have played worse than ever before when we need them to actually try.

Geogaddi
Sound like a broken record but Villa were always going to be a threat with the fixtures they had left, we win tomorrow and it shouldn't matter. Anything less and we aren't finishing top 5. Edited 4 hours ago by Geogaddi

et tu brute
With Villa result, game tomorrow is now not must lose, but raised to now must win. Even a draw would most likely need to mean we need to win the last two games if we don't win

Can't do anything about it.

SiLvOR
Think we can safely say Villa are winning their last 2 as well. We absolutely have to win tomorrow, but that was always the case tbf. Fucking hell. I love that we're in this position, but it ain't half stressful

Ronaldo
Incredibly annoying that we’ve taken 2 points from 6 games against Fulham, Brighton and Bournemouth, like. All beat us at home too. Comes down, mainly, to our midfield three simply not having enough about them to break teams down through the middle. I’m sure it will be looked at in the summer but it’s frustrating for this season, as much as I’m OK with us finishing 6th if we can somehow keep Isak. Geogaddi
Nothing has changed really with that Villa result , we always needed to beat Chelsea and Everton to finish top 5, still in our own hands .
midds
The equation hasn't changed for the last month or so - win the home games and get a point away. We got the point at Brighton and we still need to beat Chelsea and Everton. The complications some people are bringing into things is now borderline ridiculous - we're on track but tomorrow is must-win. If we fuck it up tomorrow afternoon then we're in the lap of the gods - do the business then we're looking good. All favours from other clubs are welcome but we need to win those 2 home games and we always did
