The Europeometer™ (2024/25) - NUFC Qualify for Conference League (at least)

Recommended Posts

Our form for the last 10,15,20 and 25 games we are 5th in the league. In the last 5 games we are 16th.

Now we have got the cup out the way and won it, I would hope we can kick on and get back to previous form and claim that 5th place and hopefully CL.

Brentford are the classic spoilers in the league, difficult to play against. If we can out them away then I’m pretty confident we can go to Leicester and win. We should be putting Man U away at home and then it’s the game in hand v Palace before Villa away. Those first four games are crucial really but I think Howe and the players will be determined to push on and get 4th or 5th.

I think the timing of the international break works a bit in our favor too. Offers a reset, lets the players get the trophy hangover out of their system, lets Eddie do full preparation for Brentford, and when everybody shows up to training they will be fully focused on the CL push.

Don't see how it's even up for debate. We don't need to go for "easier cups" now that we have broken that hoodoo.

Get in the champions league and it opens up the opportunity to get Tonali, Isak level players again, plus keeping the ones we have. All the while building the revenue streams and growing the global reputation.

In no way will I be gutted if we miss out. But being greedy, I want the boys to go all out in this last ten as we have a great chance of securing top 5 again.

We’ve also shown against Arsenal over two legs, we can beat top sides. So baring avoiding the truly elite sides, we should back ourselves to go far with some good additions.

Getting to UCL QFs will do us loads more than winning ECL IMO, because it shows to the elite players we are not far off and they (if they join) can be the ones to get us to next step.
