  1. 1. How likely are we to finish top four this season? 0 = nee chance, 5 = can’t call it, 10 = nailed on marra

Villa surely can't fuck this up now looking at spurs fixtures

Top 5 will be enough regardless, and Man Utd aren’t catching them.

Believe Germany currently taking that

Decent chance England overtake them though. We've got Liverpool, West Ham, Villa, Arsenal and Man City, they've got Bayern, Dortmund & Leverkusen.

We beat a better spurs side quite well last season. Pathetic to just throw in the towel like this

Last season is last season. Can't take that to mean much. Like I said, being realistic isn't the same as pessimistic.

Man U consistently getting outplayed this season but somehow nailed on for top 6

such an annoying team

thanks Liverpool for letting them off the hook again ?

It’s a miracle that we are still in it for top 6 considering the season we’ve had and all the injuries. Can’t believe there are people out there calling for Howe to be sacked. If we finish 6th, he’s had the relegation escape, a 4th place finish and a 6th place finish with half his squad injured for most of the season.

Am I actually reading the odd post saying we can't catch Man U? Football must be so shit with that outlook. Why would you even bother with the rest of the season?

Were two points behind with +14 GD on them. We have a striker that makes any game winnable, bloody lunatics.

Great weekend. Everyone around us bar West Ham dropping points. In a great position for at least top 8 now, which could still be Europe.

They've only got 3 teams left and England have 5, and are only marginally ahead. Current odds would have England about a 70% chance of getting it, Germany 30%.

Missing us against Man U on there.

it's actually going to be very close. Annoyingly I think unless we beat Man U, they are probably home and dry for 6th.

I thought Chelsea were going to overtake everyone with their games in hand but then they pull out results like only a draw against Sheffield Utd. So who knows what points total they will get.

West ham annoyingly might have enough to pip us but have some tough fixtures in there.

I think the most important game for us is going to be Spurs. If we can beat a top 5 (this season) team, then get a few more of the walking wounded back, then I think confidence levels might carry us through to a top 7 finish. If we not I can see us getting a mixed bag of results.

Bookies have us at 2/1 for a top 6 finish. Chelsea at 9/2. WHAM at 16/1

The disparity in price between ourselves and West Ham (can actually get 33/1 with PP) seems mental, but I suppose reflective of them having played a game more and having Liverpool and Man City to play.

They can get results when they play dogshit every week. We've struggled to get results regardless of whether we were playing well or not. HOWEVER these last 3 game we have managed to get  decent points return even if we've not been playing our best stuff across those games, so there's some hope yet.

It's not listed yet, postponed.

Still exists though. We need to play each other, that's quite a big factor in this race for Europe.

As far as I'm concerned we're right in it. Aside from some horrible run of results for us, I see us in it to the death.

I still see Man U as favourites for 6th, but there is no reason why we cannot get 7th. Beat Brighton and that's them out of the running and West Ham and Chelsea have a much harder run in than us.

Against the rest of the top 10.

P15, Pts 19

Against the bottom 10.

P16, Pts 28

Last season our record against teams outside the top 7 was excellent other than the annoying number of draws.

Just feels like we need to be averaging 2.2-2.3 points per game against the bottom half teams, difference between 8th and a serious top 4 challenge.
