If they get players back Spurs are a good team. Especially at home.

Ange ball is always susceptible to quality and pace on the counter.

It doesn’t impact us directly but I really hope Spurs or Man U don’t win the Europa league.

Can you imagine how smug Ange will be if SPURS win the Europa league? No matter what happens in his career - if he’s wins the Europa league this season - he has defeated all fraud allegations

Soccerstats' form tables also show you the average number of home or away points for the opposition faced in the 4, 6, 8 etc. games covered by that form table. So you get an idea of whether someone has been racking up points in easier fixtures etc.

He's a massive reason why I can't stand Spurs at the moment. Used to be fairly ambivalent towards them but fuck me, between him and that complete cunt "Madders", I'm all in on the hater train

I think we’ll need a result either at Anfield, Emirates, Amex and Villa Park.

I think we need a couple draws at least.  Last year we got 3 points from those iiirc?

And that’s assuming we beat Wham away and deal with everyone at home which hasn’t been the case this season.

I’ve not got much against Ange - I just think he’s a bit fraudulent. The ‘I usually win a trophy in second season’ is ballsy.  They’ve been so bad that idea should be dead in the water.

Same with Man U.  They shouldn’t be able to win any trophies this season. I think Fulham will do them in the FA Cup. It’s the Europa I think they might win.

You have good fixtures. Liverpool, Arsenal and Man City first 3 places.

Then, i watched the fixtures and for me:

Newcastle: 67 points

Forest: 63

Chelsea: 62

Villa: 60

Bournemouth: 58

Brighton: 56

How many points if we had signed Cherki?

I know they've lost their last two, but I'd be stunned if Bournemouth finished nine points behind us come season's end.

My prediction:

Liverpool away: Lost
West ham away: Draw
Brentford home: Win
Leicester away: Win
Man Utd home: Win
Palace home: Win
Villa away: Lost
Ipswich home: Win
Brighton away: Draw
Chelsea home: Win
Arsenal away: Lost
Everton home: Win

Tot. 67 points.

Just done a predictor for all the results and despite thinking all season (and pre-season) we woudn't get CL, we do, by a point from Chelsea, 2points from Brighton and 3points from Forest. 63points. Nice outcome but dreading the anxiety of that.

I'm not so sure, yeah we are capable of beating Spurs, Arsenal and Man Utd in successive aways but can also turn in the Man City aways, Bournemouth and Fulhams at home.

It's getting close to looking at other clubs remaining fixtures time.

Top 8 will more than likely mean Europe. Very confident to can manage that

5 CL, 2 EL and 1 ECL. No idea how the cups affect EL/ECL.

Oh, and an English club winning one of the European compeitions doesn't subtract a spot from the English league spots. There's dedicated "Defending Champion/Champion of the League Below" spots for CL/EL/ECL winners now.

I thought, could be wrong and can't be arsed to check, that the FA Cup got an EL place but if it's winners we're in CL it reverted to the next league placing.

Don't the EL winners get a CL place as well ?

Funnily enough this was posted on bbc

Who gets in Europe?published at 18:27 Greenwich Mean Time

18:27 GMT

There will be at least seven English teams playing in Europe next season, although that figure could rise to 11. However, that latter scenario is unlikely and would require Premier League sides winning every European competition in 2024-25 with certain teams finishing outside the top five.

Normally the top four go into the Champions League, with the fifth-placed side going into the Europa League. However, the Premier League is currently on course to earn one of two extra Champions League spots, meaning a top-five finish would be enough.

But if English sides win both the Champions League and Europa League (and they do not finish in the top five) that could mean seven Premier League teams would be in Europe's top club competition.

In normal circumstances, two English sides will be in the Europa League, but that will rise to three if Chelsea win the Conference League (and finish outside the top five), with another team from England then going into the Conference League.

So, for arguments sake, let's say no English team wins a European competition, but the Premier League gets an additional Champions League spot.

Then, as it stands, this is who would be playing in Europe next season.

Champions League: 1. Liverpool, 2. Arsenal, 3. Nottingham Forest, 4. Chelsea, 5. Manchester City.

Europa League: 6. Newcastle, 7. Bournemouth.

Conference League: 8. Brighton.

(If a team from outside the top seven wins the FA Cup, they would go into the Europa League, Bournemouth would drop into the Conference League with Brighton missing out).

I think it's starting to be fair to assume that Man City will get top 5 at this point? They've purely been losing to top teams since that loss vs Villa back in december (they've played 16 games since). Only draw in 2025 was away to Brentford, and the rest are wins.

They still can't deal with the heavy hitters, but they take enough points against the rest.

They were always going to get top 5.

Liverpool, Arsenal and City are nailed on for top 5. Everything else is up for grabs.
