samptime29 Posted Monday at 15:26 Share Posted Monday at 15:26 I think he went to push him in the chest and caught him in the face. Letter of the law it's a red. Important how we responds when he comes back.
Ankles Bennett Posted Monday at 15:28 Share Posted Monday at 15:28 Having watched the incident I think the ref thought he had thrown a punch when in fact he just tried to push him off. I would have said a yellow was appropriate but van Heck made the most of it by rolling around on the ground and conned the ref.

Some irony given less of the roid rage from Gordon and we wouldn't be a first teamer down an upcoming cup final and possibly be in the QFs of the FA Cup

Important how we responds when he comes back. I’m not convinced it has to be a read, although I’m not going to read the letter of the law. For one thing, he bends down and Gordon doesn’t raise his hands. He makes contact above the shoulders but it’s not a strike and it’s clearly accidental/random. I've been consistent in my criticisms (& praise) of Gordon, his sending off unfortunately doesn't come as a shock to me.

I do think the Brighton player bends down a bit and that's why Gordon catches him.

In general I think he's one of our better players, tries to make things happen, but his end product has been missing lately.

I'd expect that the first-choice left-sided forward would be second-highest scorer. Murphy and Barnes are joint-third, because they're also wide forwards. Sibierski
No appeal. Probably a club punishment on Gordon call that.

I also am a big fan of his general play, and I did say that in that post. But feels like we are relying on Isak for goals in the last few games and that was what I was getting at. andycap
I would've appealed like what's to lose. They couldve seen the defender with a hand full of Gordon's top and understood why he lashed out.

Miercoles
I feel like I've seen loads of players starting a game where the commentator explains that they're able to play while their appeal is under consideration. There must be some reason why we've never taken advantage of that?

Miercoles
Or there's some penalty for a failed appeal? I don't know the rules. Otherwise there'd be no reason not to appeal and get a couple games in before the ban comes through.
