The player id sell if PSR was still an issue. Hasn’t kicked on this season imo, still quick and can look dangerous, but final ball and decision making is awful at times

I don't think it is entirely knee jerk reaction. He was very lucky we won the cup cause his stupid actions could have cost us and all season he has shown petulance (which he has also done previously).

 

I find it bizarre that people talk of Murphy having a 'purple patch' still despite showing exemplary behaviour and consistent performances all season and then we cannot talk about someone showing poor attitude and whom is out of form (despite being considered a more talented player).

He's a really frustrating watch at the moment. An absolute accident waiting to happen when he comes deep for the ball and constantly making the wrong decisions going forward. Then he just saunters back most of the time when he loses the ball. I'll not get started on the ridiculous and unsuccessful flops. 

 

Needs to give his heed a shake.

We know he has that form from last season in him. But his attitude and ability seem way off it at the moment.

You don't suddenly become a bad player but my god - what a drop in form.  Shadow of the player he was last season - somethings not right. He looks a player with no confidence.

Yeah short sighted merchants. Same people that jumped on his back after he didn't immediately start scoring when he signed.

He is a very driven character, but also one who mentally struggles badly when not on form imo.

Not really ignoring it. I’ve mentioned it a few times on here. 
 

An 8-9 game run of playing well. With bang average at best and crap either side of that? 
 

Not really what you’d want from our alleged 2nd or 3rd top earner. 
 

It’s even more annoying that we always shift an inform or dangerous looking player in Barnes to accommodate him. 
 

Barnes has been terrible on the right the last two and all just to make matters worse

Gordon has put maybe 2 good performances in since mid-January, it's not really a knee jerk reaction.

 

There wasn't any reason to disrupt the work Tino and Gordon were doing on the left, especially for Gordon in this form really.

Last season he was superb and played almost every game.

 

This season has seen a drop in his performances and his frailities are become more evident. My main frustration is his short passing, he rarely uses the full back and most of this season seems to go to ground very easy.

Wouldn't play him against Everton in the form he's in. Last thing we need is him doubling that poor form up with Main Character Syndrome, as he has done in that fixture in the past.

Do liverpool want him? The problem is don't think we would actually make much profit from selling him with his current form. I just hope he gets better next season.

I would consider starting Barnes and Murphy against Everton I think. 
 

I’d love a Gordon triumph story but he’s not helping himself at the moment.

Barnes has scored nearly as many league goals as Gordon did last season in half as many starts and is getting moved to accomodate him playing like this. Baffling.

He is horrible when receiving possession in our own half. It’s heart in mouth stuff at the moment.
