The sad fact is that it is far more important to be in the Premier League than to win it.

Somewhat sobering to see it so starkly how many clubs run the Mike Ashley economic model.

Manchester City, Aston Villa, Newcastle United and Nottingham Forest were the only clubs to vote against the proposed alterations according to the Athletic.

Yeah this makes perfect sense 3 clubs outside of city with ambition to be more than these rules allow.

If I have any low blood pressure I'll get myself over to reddit and read the red top fans gloat about how just these rules are.

So 16 clubs voted to essentially protect the top 6 and their advantage? Wonderful. Says a lot about the other clubs as well. You’re almost protecting yourself from relegation & the need to invest. Got to keep on the gravy train.

16 clubs voted for the status quo because they benefit from it. Most clubs aren't ambitious to the point of challenging the elite.

Times like this I wish the Super League came off and those at the top fucked off for good, whilst leaving the rest of us to it.

It's been said before, but the game itself has been circling the drain for years and has fallen victim (like most of society) to profits uber alice.

I'm normally an optimist but struggle when it comes to football.

Fuck the other 16 for playing their role in continuing the status quo, beggars belief!

Getting voted over by cuck clubs who have no place being in the top tier at all historically.

Brighton, Brentford, Crystal Palace, Fulham and Bournemouth.

Put those teams in the north and they wouldn't be anywhere higher than the Championship playoffs.

The proposed super league was to break away from Uefa. They would have continued to boss the premier league with the rules super league or not.

And it doesn't beggar belief if your one of those other clubs and can't/unwilling to compete. It actually makes sense for them to take this position.
