bobbydazzla
Other than the resistance from curmudgeonly ST holders who won’t relocate from “their” seat I don’t know why the club won’t expand safe standing to go right along the front of both Gallowgate and Leazers It’d cost very little and the benefit to the atmosphere would be massive Edited November 26 by bobbydazzla

Don't think younguns thesedays are bothered about atmosphere just need to look how our away support has gone downhill. And yes I know it's not just our support before anyone says Also why do we have a family enclosure next to away fans, they all families sat down. Needs safe standing home support

AyeDubbleYoo
Ah right, I see. Not sure there's enough of them to affect the atmosphere mind, but it is annoying.

Lush Vlad
I don't want to exaggerate. But after Andy Hinchcliffe. That Rory bloke is possibly the worst person involved with football. I heard him on Talksport once. Just sounded like a Simon Jordan Junior. So much nonsense and complete waffle to arrive at a very basic and boring point or opinion. Shoehorning in as many big words and buzz words as possible.

NUFC91
Why did we put safe standing is as trial and then not expand on it? It's been safe and a success. Seem obvious decision to do, can't understand why not

Seem obvious decision to do, can't understand why not I'm actually not sure if there's the appetite for it amongst the fans. % wise we have the most seated fans in the league. At just about every other ground there was always a full stand stood behind at least one the goals and in some cases both goals even before SS was introduce. It's something that's never happened here. I recalled the other week about how I was asked to sit down in the Gallowgate so the bloke behind could see Schars penalty. Any other ground and everyone is stood up especially in the so called home end for a penalty. Even when away clubs return tickets and we have home fans in the L7 safe standing area they nearly all sit down.

It’s why I hate the “women shouldn’t talk about football” argument. NUFC91
13 hours ago, Wallsendmag said: Only it is. Definitely is true, Stretford end, Shed end, kop, Spurs north stand, arsenal lower clock, Gwladys street end, to name a few. Im not bothered about about full end but even if we got another 2k in the leazes corner with the right fans at least it would make a difference in the leazes. I had 4 mates got tickets in leazes for Arsenal at home in level 4 at back of corner, they managed to get songs out of the leazes so so it shows another standing corner would work. On another note all thes fans who say a new stadium would just like Monday night I couldn't disagree more. Firstly even if you had the lads in the strawberry corner in a new Everton type ground it would spread far better than it does currently and secondly you have a chance to relocate. I was speaking to lad at Everton and he was saying Goodison atmosphere is shite as lot of younger lads are in wrong stands but relocations allow chance to regroup. Wallsendmag
Others include West Ham stand behind both goals (lower bowl), both lower tiers at Chelsea stand, Villa are stood behind both goals (lower tiers), Ipswich 1 goal (lower tier), Southampton, Wolves all stood behind 1 goal, and drop down a league to the bigger grounds and Leeds stand behind both goals, Derby, Boro, Hull have a full standing area behind 1 goal. It's something that's never happened at SJP. I think Monday night was a stark reminder that the atmosphere argument, or people saying we'd loose that, doesn’t really stack up. I fail to see how it could be any worse at a new stadium, especially when they'd be able to group like-minded people together. Evertons new ground will be interesting. It's clearly been built with acoustics in mind with the steep stands and a Kop like end behind 1 goal. See how it compares to Goodison.
