Was at Arsenal v PSV last night in the PSV section. I'd say that's probably the best away end I've ever been in. Constant singing and bouncing around. Totally relentless. Looking around the away end last night the demographic was predominantly lads in their 20s and 30s. Makes a big difference I'd say.

What are they like in terms of alcohol, always think Brits go away for too long, they seem to be less prone to 3 days benders I presume ?

They like a drink. Probably pretty similar to us in that respect. Pubs are all packed well before the match and of course you can drink in your seat there. That's not something that's particularly bothered me though. If you're sat at the match with a pint in your hand you can't clap the players when they do something well for example. I can take it or leave it. Can't say I've really noticed any alcohol related violence though. Only real crowd disorder ive noticed in the 20 years we've been going is when they lost 5-1 at home to Ajax and last season on the last day when they'd won the league and there was a pitch invasion. When the pitch invaders tried to get back into the stands it all went up between them and those who'd stayed where they were and took offence to them running on.

They do have a pretty bad reputation but I'm not sure how justified it is. Think they've had a few issues when playing in France over the years and we booked our Eurostar and hotel in October for PSG away and a week before the match the French authorities banned the PSV fans from travelling so we had to scramble around for tickets in the home end. It was one of those occasions where not being Dutch or having a Dutch address came in handy as Dutch residents were blocked from buying them!

You notice more of a difference when watching football in places like Italy, France, Spain and Portugal where there isn't really a big pub/drinking culture.

Would love to hear some accounts of what it was like yesterday. Suffice to say it put to rest the disappointment of the last one?

Atmosphere was brilliant, singing pretty much non stop from start to finish .

Wembley such a weird place for atmosphere to work as well, however our lot were fucking on it from 10 minutes before kick off until the players left the pitch after celebrations. Place was bouncing. Had a nervous 10 minute lull from 80-90 mins then got going again in to bring it home. Complete contrast to last time.

Aye, main thing I noticed is that with Club Wembley in the middle, chants between the tiers don't really flow as it's hard to easily pick up what is being sung between the two of them.

Really amazing atmosphere where I was sat - you could tell most people were in hope rather than expectation so when Dan Burn scored you could feel the out pouring of emotion that this may be our time.

Thanks to a good soul on here I ended up in club Wembley. However it was just black and whites and in our ‘end’ too. Was absolutely belter atmosphere wise and I was shocked at how cracking it was for a prawn sarnie seat.

I was top tier both times and we were actually allowed to stand all game this time. It was fucking class.

Voice is absolutely shredded.

And then they put up an announcement on the screen to say persistent standing was not allowed …………… in the 77th minute🤣_

It thought it was great, intense, including before we went ahead. It was hard to sing in unison, often multiple songs were being sung at different times times, or the same song out of time, but it just felt like constant noise, cheering on, urging, cheering tackles. I loved it. Oh and seemed the whole end was stood up.

Fucking unreal being there yesterday.

What an experience, spoke to a lad who was there in 2023 and he said it was night and day being in that top tier compared to 2023.

Really glad you made it mate, was hoping for you seeing how much you wanted it

It was night and day - it was better than the last few away gages I’ve been to , too. Which you’d expect as a final bit sometimes doesn’t materialise as you have people who are not regular travellers.

thought the fans were class all weekend. Was mint yesterday and this morning bumping into old faces and friends. Met 3 different groups of lads within 200m

of my hotel in Euston if not seen for ages. Was like walking down Northumberland street :)

I'm forever grateful to the lad on here who contacted me to offer me the ticket.

I know how gut-wrenching it must have been to give it up but I've saw that (despite you at the time saying you may give it a swerve) I've noticed you ended up watching the game so I'm sure you and your daughter enjoyed it as much as possible in the circumstances.

Don’t really know where to start with that. I’ve never experienced anything like it. There’s probably been more raucous, intense atmospheres, like PSG and Barcelona 97, but I’ve never known such emotion.

Felt like there was genuine belief that it was going to happen (that wasn’t there two years ago), that built and built throughout the first half, culminating in an absolute explosion when Burn scored.

There’ll (hopefully) be other trophies and leagues to come, but not sure anything will be quite like this first one.

Completely drowned them out for the whole game. Knew they had YNWA playing but the booing was so intense I couldn’t hear it at all. No doubt TV mics made it sound like it was bouncing in their end.

Comedy moment when they tried the scarf twirling and it fizzled out after about 15 seconds

The tv had their end much louder than us in my opinion, boiled my piss the whole game
