This was a different semi final. Home first leg so it wasn’t the getting to the final leg and we largely gave up possession.

I thought the atmosphere was ok. City controlling the game had a huge bearing on it.

Just been reading an exchange on Facebook mocking Man City fans for not taking up their full allocation. A few of them have responded by saying how surprised they were at how bad the atmosphere was in the home end.

Anyone giving it the big un on this is definitely gonna look a bit silly if we don't sell our allocation for the return leg today 😂

Suppose on the flip side it'd be more of a surprise if the home atmosphere was decent at their place

On the topic of entitlement, was chatting to a couple of City fans at the airport before the Leverkusen game. They were older gentlemen, seen a lot of shite prior to the Abu-Dhabi takeover.

They said they're sick to the back teeth of the young ones bitching and moaning, both in the ground and online. Toys out the pram when they don't win games.

Now I know they're a lot further on in this journey than we are, but perspective is often lost when it comes to a poor run of results. I hope we don't get to that point where we forget where we've come from.

Aye, I've a mate who has a season ticket there, he stopped going for a bit because of how shite/plastic he was finding it, ironically ended up going back during their dodgy run last season because a lot of the fairweathers stopped going and it felt "real" again and what atmosphere they sometimes have started reappearing

I genuinely wouldn't want us to get as successful as the likes of Man City, I think it looks fucking boring and quite sad in a way.

I’m prepared to give it a try and find out…

Aye, to be fair to them they even mock the Etihad atmosphere themselves by singing "Is this the Etihad?" during lulls in the atmosphere. As for the take up of their allocation, when you've won it 8 times and are regularly in semi finals I suppose the novelty is bound to wear off.

Was still a bit surprised that they only brought 3k. When we played them in the 3rd Round back in 23/24 they brought well over 4k.

Yes.

Looks an unbelievably hard task after last night's result, but what sort of fan would I be if I just decided not to go because it looks like we'll get knocked out.

Through thick and thin and all that...

If the FA Cup qf two years ago is owt to go by it will be abysmal.

Spoilt bastards walking out in their thousands with 10 minutes to go when 2 goals up in an fa cup quarter final.

I can already see signs of that mentality in our fanbase.

I have to say that it sounds really good on the telly tonight. Loads of singing coming through from our lot. Only really heard the PSV fans loud a couple of times. Great to see!

Miles better than the recent run of games and decent variety too.
