He is a good player. But not a top talent. He is not in the league of Bruno and Isak. For me you have overpaid: the fair price is 40-45m euro. He looked fantastic last night - his passing, determination with challenges and chasing the ball not to mention his set-play pieces. We sign players based on their style and how we feel they fit into our team not simply on name recognition. We likely have a clear plan of how to used him and play to his strengths. He’s got all the tools to do what we need of him and our coach has a track record of improving players, Bruno was already very good but is now a better player than the one we signed. This is clear. But is Tonali worth 70m? No. Because he has not the ceiling of Bruno or Isak. For me you could buy better and cheaper. Manu Kone or Kephrem Thuram for example.
