I’m still radge about Waddle in 1985

Ah aye but at least you could understand his reasons for going there. But Tonali to this Spurs? Just mental. Plus Waddle's a fucking mackem so he can fuck right off.

I'm really not that arsed about him leaving like, especially if we end up getting a hefty amount for him.

There's plenty that can replace him. If the players don't believe in the vision of the club why even try to convince them, let them move on.

But Spurs ffs. Fucking Spurs?

Might not end up going there.  But if Spurs want to blow a huge amount on a guy who gives up when the going gets tough, it's not going to help them move forward.

It's teh statement Spurs want to make. It's especially galling. Most fans think we are on par with them, Spurs signing Tonali would be a flex.

It would be a shit midfield partnership mind.

If we wanted to keep him it might be.

They want him, he's open to the move and seemingly had some talks with them via his agent. They've made no actual bid yet though, but apparently want to move quickly.

I personally don't really think they'll pay what it should take to get him. I think given what other midfielders are going for we need to be looking for at least £90m.

Ah okay, I will say after last season I'm not going to be shocked if people want out. But I would think he would aim higher than Spurs.

Surely Spurs could do better with £100,000,000 though. He'll probably go for £60,000,000 like. I'm so perplexed by modern transfers mind.

It’s hardly inconceivable that Spurs could jump back into the top five / six next season with a good summer of recruitment.  Where did Man Utd finish in 24/25?  The league is much of a muchness - it doesn’t take miracles or genius to jump a dozen places up the table.

It's not inconceivable, but doesn't seem more likely than us - and I thought Tonali was looking to move out of ambition. Would seem a strange point of his career to move just because prefers to live in London unless he proper hates it here.

Pay rise, London, better chance of playing CL long term, Italian manager. Also seeing the clubs best players leave, and last year terribly replaced.

This. We’re deluding ourselves if we don’t think Spurs are a more attractive option at the moment, especially for an Italian like Tonali. Our ‘project’ has stagnated and we’re basically having to start again because of last season. But we haven’t had the balls to change the manager so we’re in this weird half way house.

That's my take as well, £100 Million midfielder does not fix their issues, looks like their squad is full of bad apples, another huffy selfish fucka wont improve that.

This has went from a story I genuinely thought was a TBG windup initally to laugh at this being a possibility to go to fucking Tottenham to now talks have begun and it could actually happen

Why couldn't these cunts have been flushed man. Was obvious they were going to be in the market for similar players and probably fighting over 6th next season with us and be one of our main rivals. Now they're trying to sign one of our best players. Urgh

We signed him for 65m Euros like, no chance he goes for less than £85m, ideally we should be demanding closer to £95m - £100m.

Let’s hope Anderson goes for £121m so we have a new benchmark.

Half the people on this forum are saying he’s shit, but we want world class prices.

Tbh Milan fans said the same thing when he joined us.

I mean fair, but I think we were very attractive at the time. I can't imagine Spurs are currently, but who knows? It just strikes me as a sideways move currently.

It's the market though innit? I don't think we're short of interest in him and we paid a canny fee for him, as stated. It's going to have to be big money, no matter which way you look at it.

2 seasons in a relegation battle and Spurs are still more attractive than us! How the fuck though. Make it make sense.

Wouldn't be surprised if the agent is using spurs to try and get Man City and Arsenal to make a move.
