Ikon Posted Sunday at 20:02 Share Posted Sunday at 20:02 That ban he got probably has worked in our favour long term tbh. I’m not even sure he’d be as good as he is now if it didn’t happen. Most importantly, it bought us a lot of loyalty I reckon. What a player!
CPL Posted Sunday at 20:18 Share Posted Sunday at 20:18 Think he would get in most of the big teams in Europe right now. Oozes confidence and I love his style - reminds me of Scholes with his constant movement of the ball and always being avaliable for it. But, the scary thing is, that's only half of his game with his reading of the game and breaking up attacks. Hybrid of Scholes and Kante maybe? AyeDubbleYoo Posted Sunday at 20:24 Share Posted Sunday at 20:24 I say this a lot but his game intelligence is unmatched for me. Not just understanding where the ball will be on the pitch and where he needs to be, but also understanding the wider situation, the context of the game and how he can influence it. Really big football brain.

I don’t want his name mentioned against that classless toe sucking deviant. He has too much class.
High Five o Posted Sunday at 20:28 Share Posted Sunday at 20:28 Best midfielder I have seen in B&W. Obviously love Lee, Batty, Cabaye, Bruno G etc but Jesus Tonali put in a shift. He just controls everything. Tempo god!

Made him look a right cunt. Rumour has it he's still doing laps of the pitch to wind down. As it happens apparently he lives in the flats at the end of gossy high street and he’s been seen in his tracksuit walking home across the moor after a home game. The Bonk Posted Sunday at 20:57 Share Posted Sunday at 20:57 When I watch him play, I think of this quote from his agent: It's fucking true, he makes the game look effortless. He hit a flick pass out wide today with the outside of his boot that was harder than a good number of players efforts on goal. He'll be the best Italian to have played in England, I'm convinced of it.

Super Duper Branko Strupar Posted Sunday at 22:39 Share Posted Sunday at 22:39 He could rather easily become our best ever centre midfielder (in my lifetime). Potentially by a distance. He's only getting better which is erotically frightening.

Absolutely, and the club/management deserve it because of the impeccable way they managed the situation. And a bit of credit to (most of) the fans as well. Yeah, he went down and looked like he pulled something, but I guess it was a scrape or someone stood on the back of his leg. Ketsbaia Posted Sunday at 23:22 Share Posted Sunday at 23:22 I really want to buy Tonali merch before flying to Italy on Wendesday but it feels too late Just want to strut down the streets and show off to locals that I'm a Newcastle United fan, with their bairn being absolutely phenomenal for us. Memphis Posted yesterday at 01:07 Share Posted yesterday at 01:07 Pinching myself that we have a player of his calibre in our team. He is a proper world class midfielder. He can do it all and will do it all for the full 90+ minutes. Irreplaceable.
