We can afford it, we are just not allowed to make the transfer incase we threaten the top 6

On MGW i think he’s a very good player but not sure how he fits into our system, it would feel a system change is needed to get the best out of him. 
 

For the fee he would command id want to pass personally.

Can't afford £30m for ederson but all that's stopping us paying more than that is forest being reluctant. Great journalism again

He’s not a natural 8 is he? And we have little Joe. 
 

I think MGW isn’t too similar to big Joe, I don’t see him as someone winning so many duels.

Maybe, but I'd like to think we could make a midfield of Bruno, Tonali and Gibbs-White into a bit of a unit. We'd still have the likes of Willock, Longstaff, Anderson, Miley behind that.

It also says they're still negotiating with Joelinton, but whoever we buy might have to be his long term replacement.

 

Can see the Onana links getting stronger, he'd be perfect in that role. He's a bit raw, but he's got a lot of potential.

Not keen on Onana at all, big joe is much better imo. EPL tax is to real, this summer has shown we can’t afford to pay 60m per player

Yeah I was about to say. Would feel like a massive downgrade actually. Big Joe is massive for us when fit and healthy and pops up occasionally with some important goals. It's just a shame his finishing is so erratic because sometimes his touch can be sublime. (Spurs last season)

As much as it will hurt, selling Bruno will hurt, I imagine it will facilitate a pretty substantial rebuild. When other sides have brought in 100m for a player (West Ham, Villa etc) they have then reinvested that same money. We have owners who will also be adding the absolute maximum they're allowed to on top of that 100m to the transfer/wage budget.

Was trying to work this out myself as well. Around 44m wasn't it after add ons? WIll have been here 2 and half years by the Summer. Maybe around 20m left?

We also have Tonali coming back in, who should soften the blow a bit. But yeah, it’ll be up there with the hardest ones we’ve had to take
