I expected one of the big boys to get him by offering more wages than us, but I think it is a great signing to compete with Schar for RCB next season and then next summer we can sign someone elite to replace Shar. When you see who is getting minutes in his position, then we become a very attractive option. Same with Kelly. Both would have had 20 starts each in the prem this season, maybe more. As long as he’s willing to play a bit of a lesser role, he knows he has to manage his minutes wherever he goes anyway. We’re not gonna get a 2nd/3rd striker as good as him on the cheap.
