Someone in my local yesterday saying Ramsdale on loan happening 😂

 

We’ll sign some players, yes it would be good to have them in by now but I’m confident we’ll get the right players in.

Prior to last season and a new manager coming in, people on here would have been telling you this guy is shit.

 

Similar to how they have spoken about the likes of DCL and Kelechi when we were linked with both earlier this summer.

 

I find this sort of thing incredibly fascinating. 

 

Can't even imagine how many players are just stuck in rotten situations, under the wrong manager, and have been written off because of it.

Not saying I’d just want to sign Mateta outright but out of the two it’d be him simply because of the ridiculous form he was in at the end of last season.

No bad footballers actually exist and the only thing stopping them reaching Ballon d’Or level is being stuck in a rotten situation with the wrong manager. Fascinating.

Assuming nobody leaves (unlikely) then bringing in a starting right CB option and RW would significantly strengthen the starting 11 and squad. I think both will be filled but I’m less confident about striker being bolstered for some reason. I definitely think we need another option there and we surely can’t go into another season relying on Wilson as our only proper back up striker.

I’m not really fussed about a striker. Rather play the long game with that since we don’t have Europe. If there’s someone we’ve got an eye on and it’s a no this summer but possibility next summer, just wait.

 

RW / CB are the musts this window, of starting quality. Then opportunist CM if one becomes available.

Agreed, Isak is yet to show he is relisiant across a whole season, he also seems to be knackered around 60 mins every game

Another striker is absolutely essential. Can’t rely on Wilson and Isak often picks up injuries. If we’re playing Gordon up top for a significant period of time then we’re not making Europe.

Yeah the Wilson injury is definitely a spanner in the works. Teams potentially looking at signing him probs swayed away from the signing now 🤷‍♂️ 
 

Agree with others tho we definitely need another option. Isak does pick up injuries, Wilson cannot be relied on. We can’t have a situation where Gordon is being used as makeshift striker again.
