is a cross between Barnes and Gordon - plays mostly on the left 

 

We need to strengthen the other side with at least 2 new signings, with 1 being able to play CF too - not naming any particular player (Bryan Mbuemo)

From what I’ve heard about him, he would be the ideal RB if we see Tino as long term RB. Fits the profile for the market we should operate in for the back ups to first team players.

I dont get the piece from Douglas about Burns recent performances and us focus on a RW because of him. Botman and Kelly are his rivals, not the new CB.

Yeah Burn’s performance is irrelevant really. Botman will take his place and the new CB will eventually replace Schar. 
 

Of course the new CB might’ve played LCB temporarily, I thought that about Guehi.

Didn’t Guehi play LCB in the Euros? Felt like he was on that side of the pitch more often than not.

Yeah, he did for palace as well but I think it was mainly because Anderson needs to be right. Sure he can play either.

My assumption for the Guehi deal was for him to play left til Botman returned then move over but only after Botman has been eased back, dangerous to believe he'll be back firing at full speed immediately on return... VVD last year is proof of that

The next transfer window has the ability to make or break our season, our last transfer window almost broke it, this window needs to fix it.

 

I know people like to get into the ins and outs about what position and who but ultimately I think the fans (and team) need a lift. For whatever reason our club seems to crave a star signing or two to keep the flame alight.

 

If we can pull an exciting attacking player out of the bag in January, I think we will go on a run at some point.

Not sure we crave a star signing, just want to see the glaring hole in the squad improved with more quality.

As amazing as it would be big signings don’t usually happen in January, I’d take just one quality addition at the moment. I doubt we see the RW we need though.

His age and experience probably makes him one of our more valuable assets that we could let go to raise funds.

 

I'm not sure how much interest he'll garner at this point though, with his recent long injury layoff and poor form.

 

I imagine we'd want at least £25 million for him minimum, but not sure if anyone bids that currently.

 

He should probably join a team that doesn't play such an intense style, as his body doesn't seem to hold up.

 

Could maybe see him at a West Ham or Fulham.

Agreed can see someone coming in for him. You can see Miley starting ahead of him too when he’s back fully fit and Willock seems to do better in the past certainly from the bench too.

Mokhbel was on loaded mags last night and said a couple of things I thought worthy of posting. 

 

1, Mark Guehi was the only CB Eddie wanted, it was him or nobody.

Quite concerning if true. Again based on Mitchell’s interview post deadline, there should be no chance we go back in for either.

I know he’s pretty much tier one for London sides, not sure that would mean he would know Guehi was our only target.

Absolutely aye, not sure how he could Know that however the extent we went to try and get him does indicate it to be true imo. 

 

He also said we were amongst many clubs keeping an eye on Eze.
