He got 3 at SJP I think

Dibling is the perfect hybrid forward - I just can’t see another 9 coming and be content to sit on bench - at least Dibling will get games - then there might also be a pathway for Parkinson if he continues this rise

All 3 pretty much identical too.

I know we've been wanting to upgrade Miggy/Murphy for about 3 years but surely our priority in January has to be a backup Striker?

If Isak gets injured we are in big trouble, Gordon hasn't shown he can deputise there and Osula is far too raw.

None of them are ideal but we have plenty options with Gordon/Barnes/Murphy/Miggy all capable of playing on the right, and whilst I absolutely love Isak, one concern has been him picking up slight injuries multiple times in the past two seasons. Would be a disaster if we run him into the ground needing him to play the full 90 minutes most games with no rotation options.

I think short term this clearly has to be the #1 priority.

I think the RW needs to be a striker hybrid personally. We can't get both.

We don't seem to do short term signings. Can't imagine there are many strikers of any standing available on loan, and we won't spend good money on a 30 year old.

Doesn't necessarily have to be short term only option, depends who's available, but it would be extremely risky, bordering on insanity, to think Isak can carry us the whole season, or that we can rely on Wilson at all, so it needs addressing now. If that means pivoting from our usual way of operating so be it, you have to be willling to do that sometimes.

Not that there are many of them out there like

Could do with Man City having another Palmer we don't know about.

Just on that subject there's an article today in one of the papers about young players Man City have let go which are spearheading Chelsea's push for the top. Cole, Adarabioyo and Lavia were mentioned. Pep really did seem to put too much faith in experience and technique and not putting enough attention on age and physicality.

I agree, but with us having been stung already by PSR you can understand why we are reluctant to go down that road.

PSR has been talked about in windows where we have spent money and in windows where we haven't. I wouldn't read a great deal into it.

I certainly don't see us going wild. I think we will get 1 player in but if we can get a couple of bodies out, we might go again.

We’ve not spent much since they started handing out points deductions for PSR non compliance.

Palace agree to 70 million for their super star defender and we in excess of 100 million spend in the summer, or even the 60 million for their true superstar in Olise.

I think money is there to spend on the right player.

Not without offsetting that with a big sale.

We didn’t bid anywhere near that amount. Trust me.
