Linked with Grealish. Think he’d be good for us but wages would be a problem.

I doubt we sign anyone over 24 - plus we have Gordon and he’s better (at the moment)

Grealish has won a lot, made a few few - I wonder in hindsight if he will ever regret the  move? (Just in terms of how he’s had to completely stop his best attribute for suit Pep)

Kenny man, have a kit kat.

Look man, I'm not saying it'll happen but there's plenty of paper talk regarding DCL. And let's face it, we'll lose Isak eventually. I still remember what we did with Andy Cole too.

What does DCL have to do with losing Isak?

The thing is, their fan base is arguably the most entitled in world football. They absolutely will not accept a few lean years, in order to get their finances back in order. Hence all these short term signings.

EDIT: I actually do not envy in the slightest whoever the current Barca president is.

Enormously cunty entitled and self serving club along with the Francoist pigs in Madrid. A derby where aliens came and wiped out all the players and infrastructure of both clubs would be heaven.

I was half keen on it for a split second. Then realised he doesn’t play on the right, he’ll be over-priced and he’s 29. Thought he was younger for some reason.

He's 29?? Wow thought he has 24/25 at most. Times going too quick

It's who I'm afraid we might replace him with. That was all I initially suggested as the DCL links popped up again. Wishing now I really hadn't made the comment. Some right touchy fuckas about. 😆

Really hope we can manage to bring someone in to continue the momentum. Could be the difference in getting Europe or not.

Would certainly give the current players yet another few percentage of a boost too. Also the ability to improve a bit as well as having more fresh options. Botman back.

No idea what is going on but DCL keeps getting mentioned for some reason.

Heavy(ish) press speculation in the past and contract up in summer. As well as the perception (rightly or wrongly) that he’d be OK being backup to Isak.

Wages potentially an issue like, and the chances of it happening might have gone with the last couple of windows.

I guess it depends how easy it is to source another PL ready striker as someone we can rotate or use as back up for Isak. I can understand it tbh, even if he's not my cup of tea exactly.

Tbh honest, finding a quality backup for a truly elite level PL striker is extremely difficult. Spurs struggled for years, and spunked a load of money trying to do it when they had Kane. Even when they did sort it out, it was slightly fortuitous, with Son probably not brought in specifically for that role.

It may be that the hybrid striker/RW route would serve us best.

I just think it's extremely difficult to get a PL ready striker good to go. I think given we are relying so heavily on Isak staying fit, I wouldn't be that surprised if we make a move for DCL. But tbh, it would only make sense for this season, by the summer we'll be looking more long term.

Definitely think a RW who can play through the middle is the best bet. That's how Liverpool cover those forwards positions - as the likes of Gakpo and Jota can play through the middle or out wide.

Mbeumo would be a dream signing but unfortunately I think we've missed the boat with him.
