NUFC Transfer Rumours

Could we make him into an almost better footballing version of Joelinton in that LCM slot? Feels like Joelinton gets into good positions but doesn't always have the composure to finish moves off. They'd both still get plenty of game time.

Easily mate. Would give us another dimension in our game as well as opening up space for other players and more goals from midfield/attack. If we signed him we would probably not need to spend 30-40m on some backup to Isak, unless we want another youngster in if we can afford. (Rayan Vitor maybe)

We can stil sign a RW despite Cunha I reckon. Espeyif we don’t necessarily need a striker of good quality.

No, you can't just create another big Joe

I think the biggest facet of Big Joes game is his defensive capability now, he covers a lot of space and will obviously run through walls for Eddie, this is an requisite for us especially in central midfield. Cunha would be an upgrade on the ball for sure but without it? Not a chance massive downgrade.

And again, it's a 63m release clause so has to be paid up front. It's a massive outlay for a position which can't be the priority this summer.

He doesnt need to be Big Joe.

The fact that he can play multiple positions is a Howe wet dream. Being in Europe means we need to use our relatively limited transfer budget to either buy 4-5 cheaper punts or go for 2-3 proven and versatile options. I’d prefer the latter.

Not debating for or against trying to sign him. But does the fact it has to be paid up front matter for PSR purposes?

No.

So we have decided that Cunha is the player for whom the fanbase would twerk whole summer, daydream about the formation & lineups only for him to join some big6 club due to high wage they are offering.

Was responding to ON who said could he do the same job as big Joe and the answer to that is probably not.

He's an attacker who wants to invert from the flank primarily. He could fill in as a striker sure or as a second forward from the 10.

Again he's a great player but is he a good fit at the price for us? I lean no. For that fee I want someone who comes in and fits our system and is an upgrade on what we have.

Just read he's out of contract in the summer. Wonder if he's one we've got earmarked with a route to the first-team, if he goes to a lower end La Liga club on loan with a view to flip him to Real or Barca or a Minteh type fee.

Arokodare at Genk linked. Top scorer in Belgium this season.

Bit of a late bloomer, emerging striker that made his international debut this season.

Different profile from Isak. Big physical presence at 6 foot 6, and has a huge leap so is really good in the air. Surprisingly mobile. Nice movement in the box.

Can be brought along and developed further still as is only just now starting to make some headway.

Probably one we are considering to replace Wilson.

Genk get some good players. Must have a cracking scouting network. Saw we are apparently interested in their young Greek midfielder as well.

Yeah, I think Belgium in general really bring through some decent talent.

I think it was one of the markets that was mentioned as one we would be looking more at with Mitchell coming in, as you can still pick up players for really good fees there too.

I also wish we'd look at that league for the younger players we send out on loan, as they are far more likely to play a lot.

Looks like he'd slot into our team as easily as my pee stick would slot into Mary Elizabeth Winstead. A no brainer if under 20 million.
