I think it’s a bit blinkered to just look at G&A for Joao Pedro. I think he is absolutely mustard and a brilliant hybrid sort of attacking mid/forward type. Pops up all over the pitch, great feet, passing always looks decent and incisive. I don’t think £60m is steep for someone as good as him, personally. 
 

However, it would be a lot to pay for someone who in our 4-3-3 would be a bit position-less other than as a backup for Isak. 
 

So unless Howe is looking to start playing with a 10. I can’t see much truth in that rumour at all.

In other news, Luke Edwards has confirmed there is no truth to us trying to sign Nantes goalkeeper Hugo Barbet. Maybe.

I think we were genuinely in for him and it was all but done. The Callum Wilson injury and Isak being available for a fee below his release clause. Meant that we changed our approach.

Karim Adeyemi would be a left footed right winger that can also cover striker and left wing. A cheaper Mbeumo. Use the remainder of the budget on Guehi and new midfielder.

But the scouting for them is as sure as you can get as you seeing them against sides you are playing week in week out. Man Utd for example have prioritised signings abroad for most part, and they’ve been duds because they’ve not adjusted. Likely why they’re pivoting to Prem signings (What Ashworth said to Ratcliffe they should do).

Won't happen but would be a shrewd move to sign Paqueta (what's the deal with his ban?) given he can play LCM, RCM, LW, RW, #10 and as a backup striker. But he'd give you the more attacking side, cute passes, dead balls, and goal threat.

I'd fanboy out so hard if we bought a Norwegian that was good enough to actually start for us. I doubt Walle Egeli is that though. Doesn't strike me as a player that has the physicality to do well as a wide man in the PL.

Aye I honestly don't know. Assumed it was coming after the season end, but not sure. 

 

Edit: He gave evidence to the investigation earlier this month apparently.

He was right. Very right. Look at the prem signings he did for us. Gordon, Hall, Livra and Barnes.

Was thinking this the other day. If he avoids a ban he’d definitely be a logical signing given the Bruno connection and his positions he can play.

he's the more midfield version of Cunha/Pedro in that he can cover nearly all of them.

If you look at how the likes of Rice influence games, that’s the kind of multi-threat midfielder I’d like to add. 
 

Someone who is mobile and combative but also has good enough attacking technique to help us at the top end. 
 

Paqueta who’s not cheating would be a good example.
