WilliamPS Posted Monday at 09:57 Share Posted Monday at 09:57 Delap to Chelsea makes the most sense for him, he’ll be first choice for a CL side if he plays well. It’s a no brainer, at Newcastle he can only be offered second choice

NWMag Posted Monday at 10:08 Share Posted Monday at 10:08 On Delap, he would get plenty of minutes. For the games he doesn’t start, he would likely come on from the bench in most, if not all. and next season, we are looking at 50 games minimum, you would think that any week where we have 2 games, he would start 1 of them. It’s pretty strange for a club to just go year after year not selling anyone of any value. A lot of work needs done to the squad given the lack of movement over the past few years. I think Gordon or Barnes. More likely Gordon because we'd get more.
Mazzy Posted Monday at 10:32 Share Posted Monday at 10:32 ITKs have started. Saying Trafford is top of the list and want him in ASAP. Im all for it. I think he's the best option personally. We'd regret not getting him while we can.
Smal Posted Monday at 10:34 Share Posted Monday at 10:34 we can take the piss out of Chelsea all we want like, but they’ve just finished 4th and are likely to win a European trophy albeit the most minor of them. They’ve ended up having a decent season and may have turned a corner.

Crimson Cardigan Posted Monday at 10:40 Share Posted Monday at 10:40 I’m not sure Delap will be first choice at Chelsea either, he’ll be rotated with Jackson so if he goes there it’s all about the money.

KaKa Posted Monday at 11:11 Share Posted Monday at 11:11 The reports are that Delap wants to maximise his playing opportunities to try and break into the England squad. If he's going to Chelsea, it will be because they have told him he will start for them. Personally, I am shocked that Chelsea have decided on him as their lead striker, having secured Champions League football. I like Delap, but not sure he's quite ready for that yet. Chelsea fans will be fuming. They've been talking about the likes of Gyokeres and Osimhen. Maybe he'll rise to it like Palmer did though. Will be very interesting to see how it plays out.
