Beto and mateta wouldn't be replaced easily mind.

I reckon Beto could be gone in the summer, he's been better under Moyes but he won't be scoring Everton the amount of goals they'll need. Could easily see them cutting their losses.

Mateta is different though yes, but Palace will need another striker and you'd think Delap has more chance against Mateta than Isak.

I don't see Delap going to Chelsea and being first choice all season. If he goes there in the next week or so it'll only be a few more weeks until they are bringing in Seko/Gyokores/Vlahovic and he'll be on the bench again anyway.

Bad move from him, he'd genuinely be better of going to Everton or Palace rather than Chelsea or Man Utd right now.

Chelsea were always going to be in for Delap whether they need him or not. Young player with a release clause below his probable market value, I'm sure he's viewed as a sound financial investment first and foremost much like Adabariyo last summer.

He'll need to turn out to be a very good player to survive the inevitable hype and dysfunction at the club.

I think there may be something in it simply because a couple of unknown journalists, close to Espsnyol have reported it so aggressively. If it was agent mischief, they'd have gone to the nationals (who've been reporting he's off to Barca), like with Big Mama.

If we beat Barcelona to a signing it will feel canny good like.

How feasible is it that we sign Garcia and Trafford? There’s obviously the money issue but Garcia’s release clause seems low and we can’t have either of them alongside Pope, because we’ll have to play an entirely different style of football with him. Would they both back themselves to win the starting job?

The problem with sane is his wages he was on over 200k per week at bayern.

He's a left winger aswell even though he is talented.

Talented but always struck me as a knob, Mbappe vibes…think Bayern would have won 1 or 2 more European Cups had they sold and replaced him and Coman with younger, grittier players.

I suppose there like for like in a way a targetman type.

Based on watching him play. There is a reason a top club will spend £50million+ on him this summer despite bang average stats. He has pace, power, would immediaitely become the best dribbler in the squad. Is direct. Plenty to work on including positioning and turning his skills into creating chances but it is tough when you play for a shocking team to show off such talents. He's not there yet but I don't think there is a more exciting teenager in English football at the moment. If he gets in the right setup, with the right coach, sky is the limit.

Like the Spaniards love to say, ‘we’ve 20 Diblings you’ve never heard of’… Dibling looks a real talent, but we’d be buying a very raw player, for 50 mil. If there were no psr constraints it’s the type of signing I’d dream of, but for now our signings need to be based around what cost us points this year and will draw losses and win draws next year and at the lowest possible price, because we’re thin and overachieved this year.

I don't know the culture, but wouldn't a player signing from Espanyol to Barcelona make it difficult for himself to live in the city? Or is it not that big a deal?

It’s a pretty big deal from what I remember, although seems like these type of things die down with each passing generation. Some itk said transfer to Barca, loan back to espanyol for the season which is beyond mental.

The one thing we know about Trafford is he can do the sweeper keeper role well and is comfortable off both feet.

This garcia is a bit of the unknown as far as them attributes go.

I do believe our scouts have video footage of him.

Seemed like there's too much smoke around Trafford to be no fire. Have Burnley priced us out perhaps?

Good possibility any deal was subject to them not getting promoted perhaps.

Shame about Delap, such good value with that £30M release clause

Feels a bit pointless for Chelsea, I don't think Delap improves them that much, he isn't good enough right now to lead the line for a top 4 club, and he'll be 1 of many attackers that they rotate to similar effect as they do

Newcastle and Howe would have done him wonders imo

He might have demanded a pretty hefty contract if its true that the release clause is alot lower than his market value.

If so it would pricy for a straight up backup for the forseable future.

That is true, cheap releases clauses = more player power

Delap probably going to Chelsea because of Palmer, who he would have known from Man City youth team

Be £££££ - we'll probs not be able to match the wages being offered.
